I'm curious if that's the way it'll stay or if it's just in the early build. I think it's more interesting to lay Clones in different poses. They should make the ice clone like mk9 where if you d4 it stays that way.. Also start up on ice ball is stremey slow.
Hi am using a mobile phone so I can't see the video can u please send me the video URL but edit it e.g you!tube.com/watch then I will just delete the "!" So that I can see the video thanksHi guys, here a new (short) gameplay video with Sub Zero! The French player is @Mickadi (pretty well known in the Finish Him community), he has played a couple of hours with his favorite characters, including Sub-Zero! Enjoy this quick match between 2 famous players in the Finish Him community.
Mickadi shows off some basic combos, running and corner pressure!
As you can see, the corner game with Sub Zero seems to be very nice

He needs itOf all the characters to get d1 xx earth shaker, sub zero?
I played Sheeva. Your concerns are meaningless to me.He needs it
OK in all seriousness he fucking needs it, have you seen him in MK9?
Can't tell if it's just D'Vorah player, D'vorah having shitty wake ups or Sub's corner pressure is just freaking really good. I have read the wake ups are less relevant or less reliable compared to MK 9 in MKX. If that is true, then a key element is going to be corner pressure in this game. Not sure if I like that but then again corner is a situational opportunity.
Say that IS the case, they should make that escape wall leap out of the corner gig on every stage and have invincibility frames. I'm sure some would disagree but don't care, think if they don't have this and wake ups aren't useful as they were in MK 9 then this is necessary. Otherwise honestly people once they get in the corner will have the advantage.
*massive eye roll*Sub Zero's slide is too strong from what I can see. It's way too fast on startup. This is the type of stuff that leads to Kabal type spin pressure and unfair conditioning. Even if slide is minus on block it will dominate too much of the psychological game. Meaning, you will always have to be on watch for it. And, since NRS insists on making these attacks hit low the only way to block it is to crouch block. It reminds me of Guy in SF4, but Guy has no projectile.
Horizontal moves make or break characters, and giving Sub Zero access to run and this strong slide is too much in addition to his other special moves. They don't know how to balance this character.
*massive don't care* lol What can I say man, I prefer a balanced game not a broken. My issue is NOT with Sub-Zero, it's with ability to escape corner lock or WTF is the point of wake ups?*massive eye roll*
I wouldn't be upset if we got different variations. All I've seen so far is Summoner and I don't want to keep thinking Warlock is a billI'm loving all of this footage, but every seems to keep picking the same characters.
Quan, Sub, and Scorpion.
If they all didn't look cool as hell i'd be upset.
You're forgetting about interactables. There's likely corner interactables to deal with this in most stages. Also, we don't know how well this actually will work when the game releases.*massive don't care* lol What can I say man, I prefer a balanced game not a broken. My issue is NOT with Sub-Zero, it's with ability to escape corner lock or WTF is the point of wake ups?
It's probably just the D'vorah player....but just stating just in case wake ups suck....still doesn't alter my view.
yah where are those people? i need to talk to them asap for a early copy. They must be playing the gamewhere are all the people who said d'vorah's OP and needs to be nerfed now?!
would you believe they actually have never played the game at all? XDyah where are those people? i need to talk to them asap for a early copy. They must be playing the game
too strong? here we go again. He has absolutely no chance of being close to kabal unless he received: (Instant air fbs, a dash cancel for one of his special moves that was safe and led to pressure, overhead/low special "like kabal's buzzsaw and hook swords", armor special that goes through one hit projectiles and grants him plus pressure, standing reset, etc.) Kabal wasn't surpassed by any IGAU character and I doubt he'll be passed by any MKX character, he won every matchup lol. His slide doesn't even lead to a full combo and it isn't safe, so its speed won't mean it will be too strong. I know lots about fighting games and I know people in this community love to jump the gun, which pretty much always is the wrong thing to do. (MK9 ermac, mk9 sub zero, mk9 raiden, mk9 jade, etc characters who ppl jumped the gun on and they got wrecked and it hurt them in the later stages of mk9).I agree that he needs to be able to get in, but I don't think fast low attacks are always the best idea to accomplish that. Sub Zero is very tricky to balance, but if you give him strong tools to rush in you are asking for trouble(Kabal level trouble). Sub Zero has very strong zoning tools, and now he has this fast low rush attack. I can't tell what his walk speed is, but he will also get the run feature, and if he doesn't have to backdash as much, due to all of his excellent zoning tools, then he will also be able to stock stamina meter consistently and have strong zone and strong rush. I'm telling you man....
He seems very strong (potentially too strong imo) and I don't think they understand how to balance him. This is where not having a fully fleshed out archetype structure comes back to bite you imo.
Of course, this is not the final build. But I think NRS is crazy enough to let this get through.
ppl dnt understand this apparently haha.Game is not out yet.....
I mean I have been right lots of times, so I'm sure i'll be right again. Also this still isn't the final build, we have no clue how the final build will be until it comes out.I hope you're right.
It's been stated a couple times wake-up are pretty shit and Paolo said on steam only ex moves are going to have any invincibility.*massive don't care* lol What can I say man, I prefer a balanced game not a broken. My issue is NOT with Sub-Zero, it's with ability to escape corner lock or WTF is the point of wake ups?

Of the two of you, one is an accomplished tournament players who has been feared and respected for years, the other mostly bitches that nrs hasn't made a game worth playing for 20 years. I know whose judgement I'm going to trust.I mean I have been right lots of times, so I'm sure i'll be right again. Also this still isn't the final build, we have no clue how the final build will be until it comes out.
