Random thoughts-
Music reminded me of blade runner somewhat and had a really dark/serious/sinister feeling. Dunno if that's just because it's Kano or if they're really pushing the "This one will be darker" thing. I hope it's the latter.
Stage is gorgeous.
Design is good, although the knives look...off(how the hell are they staying on?). Also laser face mode doesn't have knives, while the other two do.
Styles-
Angry Angry kano: Seems like classic kano. Knives+balls. Not much else to say.
Laser Face Kano: Interesting. We don't really see the laser used to zone at distance except as an AA, and do see double grenades/knives/whatever at one point, so i'm guessing he might not have just a straightforward laser. Cyrax bomb EX is fine on him since it's a decent combo extender. Air ball to low is REALLY cool to see and gives me hopes for his overall approach game.
Karate Hug Action Kano:
Throw 1: combo'd into, knee bash throw, leaves opponent KD and kano with slight advantage. Decent distance away. Looks ok.
Throw 2: EX'd, done point blank, choke/stab thing, Slight advantage, very far away. Needs to deal good damage.
Throw 3: Counter high to clothesline. Seems to have a decent startup/active time(can't tell). Leaves him about jumping distance away at slight advantage.
Throw 4: Counter low to stab. Same as above. Both of them seem really meh. Counter moves tend to be poorly done in lots of fighting games, and these don't seem to really keep him nice and close like a grappler would want. Granted most grapplers don't get an air kano ball either so maybe that's on purpose. Concerned about these either way.
Throw 5: Hugz. Combo'd into, leaves him close to his opponent with some advantage. Seems like a nice ender.
Hopefully the style turns out ok. I'm mildly concerned it'll be underwhelming from what we've seen, but it's of course always hard to tell anything from these vids, and so early in development.
Random thought- do we have ANY footage or a run combo? They talk about how cool the system is for combos but i've yet to see a single example of one in any of these videos(that I can think of at least).
