Well, at least they were patching/changing the game AND adding new characters and stages the whole time.

On topic: If they do some spin off or sequel or three-quel to another final fantasy game before 15 comes out I'm going to scream. I'm one ass hair away from not caring for Square Enix.

What annoys me about AC4 multiplayer is that EVERYONE is only playing manhunt. It might find me a different mode once in awhile but the hunted one has NEVER found a match for me. It says there is literally no match for that mode going on so it gives me the general search queue and then bam, fucking manhunt mode. Like its cool and all but I feel like its so damn scrubby. There's almost no point in trying to blend in or anything like that because your team always runs around hungry for kills and shit all willy nilly. My experience is that AC3 multiplayer>AC4 multiplayer.
Yeah im an Artifact Assault guy (offense primarily, i suck at defense but im good at offense) but i like to play other game modes as well but like manhunt but imo offense is OP as hell in AC4 with the nerfs to knife and SB (which sucks cuz i was a good defense manhunt player). I know from watching high-level manhunt in other AC games that it blending isnt really a priority but it pisses me off when on offense the scrubs would always just go for chase kills and tun around that stuff was hella annoying

I stopped caring about AC after 3 because Desmond dies. I don't even know wtf they're doing with the story and I seriously don't care.

Man it really sucks that AC was made by Ubisoft, if only it were another company maybe like Bethesda they'd know how to love their series aside from the money it makes.
Thanx for the spoiler...

I look at games like COD and BF as fun MP games to play the hell out of for a few months and then either sell them or trade them in while they still have some value.

I had such high hopes for Titanfall but that game died for me in about a month.

I think the whole FPS genre went to shit after the COD take over.

I am looking forward to Destiny though.

Yeah thats true, but when they added the characters from SFXT to SFIV it was like a given. IMO I wouldn't mind if they do that I really like FFXIII and it was pretty cool how n depth that stroyline of the game was, the only thing I didnt like it was t was too linear. I just hope FFXV is open world like it was back in the days.

I personally dont mind getting several new version of a game especially for a competitive game like SF4. But i feel Capcom missed alot of opportunities to add features which should be for any game today standard, like ingame Framedata, Hitboxes, a good Tutorial for new players... imo.

If a game gets consistent updates (balance, content, features) im totally fine with buying every xx months a new version.

For CoD i feel you pay every year money to just continue to play the game because everyone switches without getting any good improvments.
Why not one perfect patched balance game? Pay for patches to fix infinites? Lololll

Did anybody really give a shit about Desmond. Now I've only played Assassins Creed 1 and 2 (games way too repetitive and boring) and this character was such a nothing character.

Also that second quote is so misleading and out of context...
Well, you seem to be annoyed that franchises are getting milked because their fanbases allow them to do it. You don't like that AC is getting milked yet are impressed by what they've shown you so far.

even then, there were MANY ANY MANY ways to get around smoke bomb. (Also I don't remember ever seeing that but I haven't played in a year)
The problem is the whole game is built on the premise that if you get caught killing someone else, you would get killed yourself. With the smoke bomb in AC3 you could drop them while you were in the middle of a kill animation, which kind of defeated the whole purpose of having a kill animation in the first place. That was the only true bullshit thing about it, although it was a bitch to deal with in lag.

What Capcom did or is doing with sf4 is 100% better than anything NRS did with mk9 or injustice.

The length of time between each street fighter update allows the game time to breathe and the player to develop tactics over time instead of knee jerk reaction patches coming fast for the first 6 months and then zero support after that.

For all you guys bitching about having to spend 15 bucks for a dlc update to a five year game, how much would you spend for ultimate mk9 with a balance patch and new characters, regardless of how shoehorned or lazy they may be? How much do people pay for yearly updated games?

I know complaining about Capcom is popular on this site, and they have plenty of issues to bitch about, but the handling of sf4 is not one of them.

I agree I'm fine with Capcom's updates and changes to SF4 over time and if NRS did the same as well likely the games we play would be better balanced. I never had an issue with Capcom updating SF and charging for it, because typically they added new things as well, such as characters and stages what have you. No, my issue with them is their terrible DLC practices and that currently Ultra was the only one that they allowed one to upgrade to instead of buying a new physical/digital copy of the game and that upgrade is a half ass one at that, seriously when I load up the game it still says Super SF4 AE on the title screen.

Here... I am a god!
I was a huge fan of the AC series up until AC3 which I couldn't even finish cause I got bored so fast, but seeing what Ubisoft is doing with AC:U, I have quite high hopes for the game. They actually changed things this time around, everything the fans were complaining about. A new button prompt, a dedicated stealth/crouch mode and finally they got rid of the freaking counter, aka instawin button. According to them combat is now a lot more difficult and is seen more as a fail state. Now, I know that all of that is completely irrelevant to the discussion but I just felt like spreading the word, because most people don't even bother checking AC:U out because they think it's just gonna be the same ol' shit, when it's not.

Regarding the topic though, I agree. Milking a series to the point where it's coming out every year shouldn't be the norm. What pisses me off the most though is how most later entries don't even feel like stand alone games anymore, but more like expansion packs. A $60 expansion pack.

This pretty much sums up what i was going to say. And im expecting this same thing to occur with MKX/IGAU 2, sadly T_T
