Mustard and I planning to go to the US, but what for?

Ok guys nothing is at all confirmed here, but it's something Mustard and I have been discussing.

Due to our job, we're basically not going to be able to make EVO. But at some point in the future, we really do want to head to the US for a vacation, and while we're there, enter as many tournaments as possible.

Our plan was to head to New York for about a week or so. What kind of US Majors take place in New York? Has anyone got anything good they can let me know about?

We're basically hoping to somehow mix a visit to Blue Planet AND a major in the same week, but I don't know if there's anything in the pipeline. So any info would be greatly appreciated.

We really want to see you guys again!

They can easily hitch a ride with some of our players in NY, though.



@PND_Ketchup, it would be awesome to play you both in long sets of MKT. You know I'm always ecstatic for more MKT players so this is awesome. I'm pretty sure I remember I saw one of you posting about how fun MKT was, so correct me if I'm wrong. lol. Buffed up Cyrax and Sektor are sweet.

What is going on guys, Ya Boi Zyphox here.
It really depends on what time frame you want to come over, SJ is in august and is 2 hours away from NYC, the break, is 1 hour away same with BPK. Other than that NEC in December. Ect is this weekend and Is the closest major to NYC unless you want to wait for DTN lol

@PND_Ketchup I think @Zyphox is right. Timing is everything here.

Basically if you're looking to come to NY and enter a major, the best thing to do is come during a week when there will be a major and a big local on back to back weekends, plus go to all the weeklies you can during that week.

Since you said you won't make EVO, I assume that June/July are out for you, making August the earliest possible time for the both of you to come.

That said, you should plan your trip so you can attend Summer Jam in August.

From there, we ask @RapZiLLa54 to try and plan his september monthly for the week after Summer Jam. This way, if you come for about 8-10 days you would get:

Summer Jam
Next Level (if Injustice is there)
The Break
BPK on Friday
Rapzilla's Monthly on Saturday

This would make for a very fulfilling gaming week for the two of you.

Chicago has UFGT at the end of this month (May 23 - 25) and we do Ghost Battle Series at Galloping Ghost Arcade every Thursday. Might be too short notice for you guys though. Either way good luck.

I have literally NEVER played UMK3 with a group of people offline, it's non existent in this Country :(

I'm sure travelling around Tristate would feel like a lot less of a chore than mainland Europe though lol.

For what it's worth, I swear we played some sets in Dredd's hotel room the night before i46? If it was easier to get a good port running I'd definitely try to shoehorn more of our players into the MK3 series :p

Cheers for the info guys, as I said, it's all about the planning stage right now. Didn't expect a front page, haha!

Right now we're just looking at our options, it could be a while away yet, we just wanna see what our options could be. As I mentioned in the original post, ideally we'd want to fit in the meets you guys have over there, and ALSO go to a Major too.

It's been too long since we were all together, and it'd be nice to finally have the time to just do what we want, although we really enjoyed Vegas, we couldn't do anything of our own because we were always filming for WB when we weren't in the tournament :(

It was good fun too, definitely never played that offline before that point D:
