UFGT10 confirmed to be the final UFGT event.

None of us were expecting these news to hit us. One of the lead figures responsible for the running of the Ultimate Fighting Game Tournament series, Adam "Keits" Heart, has released a statement confirming that UFGT10 (also referred to as UFGT X) will be the last event to be hosted in the UFGT series. According to Keits, he feels that they have "reached the zenith of what UFGT represents, and as a result, the climactic 'X' will be the final event under the UFGT brand."

It is unclear as to what the leading team for UFGT anticipates after the conclusion of what has been confirmed to be their final tournament. We wish them well with wherever their paths take them. UFGT 8 and 9 are my all time favorite tournaments. Not sure where this "shitting on NRS" notion came from.

This is a huge blow to the Midwest because we just lost yet another yearly tournament here.

UFGT could possibly come back from what Adam said. But it won't be as big as it is now. It would be a more trimmed down event. Who knows

And to Darknatas? Can you explain what in gods name you are referring to? Outside of issues that occurred last year, how has the tournament been crapping on NRS games for years? What's that? You don't know? Oh, because you never went? You also never listened to top players that had a great time there? Oh, it's just random BS you're throwing out without actually having any knowledge of anything? Typical.

The issues from last year won't happen again. They were definitely oversights that could have been prevented. But the event is long over and now we can move on and make sure it's better than ever. My recommendation: Stop trying to fracture an already broken community with stupid bull crap.

Still have mixed feelings about last year and the poor treatment but I'm also willing to let it go and have a good time with the last showing. Either way it is a shame to see yet another tournament shut down.

I couldn't care less about conspiracy theories or drama. Also, I can assure you that I know much more than you can even wrap your mind around.

Either way, the event runs on time. Players have consistently had a great time more often than not. They get paid. There's lots of fun stuff to do outside of the main games (panels, mystery, auction tourney, etc) as well.

As someone who was commentating MK and Injustice at that tournament, I know full well what it was like to be there. I left the venue after helping out at around 2am. Got home around 3:30a. I woke up at 7am just to make sure I can make it on time. It's a once a year thing. You think that bothered me? It was much better than waiting 6 hours for my first match at Revelations. Which at that point I didn't even care.

Instead of crying about NRS games supposedly being treated like crap, I actually try to do something about the issues so that they don't happen again. Hostility does not make progress.

But on topic, last year was my first time going to UFGT. Needless to say I was disappointed.

That being said, I've been told by many people it was great before that, so I'm more than willing to go again.

In the end, I just hope Chicago gets something to replace it, because the midwest losing another major sucks.

There are tournaments run by scam artist that people insist on giving a free pass to. This is an event run by a group of people that work very hard and had a few unfortunate things happen last year. It is possible to overcome mistakes and go on to do great things.

I just find it extremely irritating how tournament X got shit on by some of the same players who are currently defending tournament Y for issues similar or WORSE that occured at tournament X.

Either be consistent when it comes to speaking your peace on tournaments or don't bother with the one sided BS.

What does it matter if he wanted to promote Divekick? Since he's helping to give everyone a place where they can play these games he has every right to promote his game and ensure its success.
