Fun stuff.
This is cooler than an infinite. I love the slow pace of this reset, but how many opponents will still have to hold that, sitting there and watching there character get bodied.

I'll have you know I'll be mashing all the buttons. I'm a marvel player after all.

Right now, EVERYONE can get out of it with push block unfortunately

(MB probes can be push blocked when Lex is close to the enemy apparently)

The Lex player can get a free level 3 lance blast for an extra 13 % to punish the push block (because shields absorb the push block) or he can get a free extra 50/50 after the push block. However because of this it's technically not an infinite.

Wakeup Earthshaker gets stuffed- the Lex player just releases the lance blast early when he sees the enemy wakeup. Not sure about DD's Supernova teleport though- haven't tested that. Pretty sure it would be hit out of startup though.

I've been busy so I've yet to update the original post with the push block issue. I did find some stuff that makes this super useful even in spite of push blocking which I will also add.

Like I said, not an infinite no matter what. If you have options to get out of it, it's not an infinite. At all. People really need to stop throwing words around.

Not really.

Pushblock is the only thing barring this from being an infinite.

It's not an infinite on certain characters- but those are just exceptions.

No, it's not an infinite. Why are you trying to call it an infinite when you just said why it wasn't? It's not guaranteed, not an infinite, not anything. Just a setup.

I'm not saying its an infinite.

I'm saying it would be an infinite were it not for the pushblock exception.

i hope thats enough

otherwise, i'd probably have to use Deathstroke in this matchup.
Yeah, it's pretty tricky to hit Deathstroke out of the Sword Flip before it hits Lex twice, and sometimes the arc of the Sword Flip will dodge the Lance Blast. So generally, this doesn't work on Deathstroke.

what about Martians teleport?

Figured out how to prevent this from being pushblocked :D

The enemy needs to be pretty close to Lex in order to push block the probe hits. Also, when Lex goes into his Upward Lance Blast Stance, this increases the distance between Lex and the opponent, at least as the game detects it in terms of push block- this makes it easy to adjust the spacing mid-combo so you are out of push block distance.

So, if you change the combo following the use of the teleporter from:

Close Mine, u3 xx Trait xx Forward Dash u3 xx MB Probes, Upward Lance Blast Charge

to:

Close Mine, u3 xx Trait (walk back a very small amount), d2 xx MB Probes, Upward Lance Blast Charge

They will NOT be able to push block the probe hits.

You can then continue the combo with 11, 11, 11 xx Teleporter after the Probe/Lance reset.

I still need to work out how to adjust the spacing for the rest of the combo, but it should be do-able.... But not till monday cuz I'm determined to spend all day tomorrow eating nachos and watching football.

Just to clarify, an infinite is when there is absolutely no way to get out.

So saying it is almost an infinite is kind of confusing because you can say that about a ton of things.

I dig this setup though.
