I thought we could take a break from tier list salt and Trident Rushes to have a little fun. The inspiration for this thread came from This Article.
At first I thought the decision was racist, then looked at it objectively and understood that they chose Ashley on her overall merits, and saw the dangers of selecting an inconsistent placer. After analyzing this, I started to ask myself: What would the Injustice community do in this situation?

So post your Dream Teams!

Rules:

-No repeat characters. For example: no double Batman mains
-5 Players per team
-5 Subs allowed
-Stating reasons for your choices is optional, but welcomed.
-Keep things civil
-Not exclusive to tournament players, online warriors can be mentioned

1. Superman: Uncle Phil (KDZ)
Credentials: 40 Break Weekly tournaments, 3rd at CEO, 1st at EVO, 3rd at VXG, 1st at TFC.
Reasoning: Yes, the struggle has been real since the patch, but Phil seems to have been stepping it up in recent tournaments, and has the potential to pull a PL and bring it back for EVO. He must overcome this character crisis to move forward.

2. Aquaman: Emperor Theo
Credentials: 20+ (lost count) Wednesday Night Fights, 5th at EVO, 5th at NEC.
Reasoning: Theo, to me, is the smartest player in Injustice right now. He has vast character and matchup knowledge, optimal strategies for each character, doesn't seem to get tournament nerves, and has placed Top 8 in both Majors he's attended.

3. Black Adam: Rico Suave
Credentials: Break Guardian for over 10 weeks(lost count), consistently won Battle Circuit when they hosted Injustice, 7th at CEO, 9th at EVO, 1st at Summer Jam, 4th at The Fall Classic, 1st at Defend The North
Reasoning: The undisputed best Black Adam (until Qwark comes to EVO :joker:) has proven himself pre-patch AND post-patch. His intelligence and patience combined with one of the strongest characters in the game solidifies him as a permanent threat to Injustice competitions.

4. Batman: Forever King
Credentials: 5th at UFGT, 2nd at Summer Jam, 2nd at The Fall Classic, 7th at NEC.
Reasoning: Forever King has proven himself as the best Batman with consistent Top 8 Major placings, extensive matchup knowledge, and strong downplaying. Arma is my favorite, but I have to be fair.

5. Sinestro: WoundCowboy
Credentials: 2nd at UFGT, 3rd at The Fall Classic, 1st at Frosty Faustings
Reasoning: SINESTRO DAWG! WoundCowboy hasn't gotten out to many tournaments, but when he has, he's always placed Top 3 outside of EVO. He is THE reason Sinestro is in the Top 5 discussion, and also a force to be reckoned with on Xbox Live, crushing the hopes and dreams of online warriors trying to take Pig's money.

In a Pick 5 situation based objectively on current results I'd probably have to go with:

1) WoundCowboy
2) Rico Suave
3) DarthArma
4) Forever King
5) Ducky

It's really hard, though.

You have DJT, Theo, Tyrant, Slayer, PL and PPJ who could sub in the event of an injury.

So many good players.

With me not being apart of the them, this is who I'd choose:
1. GREEN LANTERN: (DJT)
Credentials: 2nd place at evo 2013, top 16 at ufgt and TFC, and has won a WNF/ got 4th at one as well.
Reasoning: Because he is my brother and because out of all GL players, he has the results and skill to back him up. Also I can't name a player who is actually more patient then he is (he even played the patient game with the likes of chris g).

2. BATMAN: (Forever King)
Credentials: 2nd place at TFC, 7th at NEC, 2nd at Summer Jam, need I go on?
Reasoning: Established batman monster and come on the name says it all, HE'S THE KING!!!! lol

3. SINESTRO: (WoundCowboy)
Credentials: top 32 at evo, 1st at Frosty Faustings, 2nd at UFGT, WNF win/ ATL weekly win
Reasoning: A very solid and patient player who knows his stuff. When you get in the ring with him, you have a reason to FEAR HIM!!!

4. BLACK ADAM: (Rico Suave)
Credentials: Won summer jam, top 16 at evo, won Defend the North, multiple weekly wins, 4th at TFC, etc.
Reasoning: Most established black adam player and once again, another player who exemplifies patience and good spacing. Definitely is a force to be reckoned with and is still putting in work with Black Adam

5. SOLOMON GRUNDY: (Tyrant)
Credentials: 2nd at NEC, top 32 at evo, multiple WNF wins
Reasoning: This man brings the hype and he plays a very intimidating Solomon Grundy. He always has a knack for making comebacks and doing the craziest stuff during the most clutch situations.

If I had to pick 5 subs, they would be specialists of awkward characters.

1. Zatanna: Deg222222222222222222222222222
Credentials: 4th at CEO, 2nd at CEO Never Sleeps(Regional), Tormenting Cowboy online
Reasoning: Deg is a smart player, patient, has a strong understanding of the game mechanics and frame data, and is 2/2 in Top 8 placements in streamed tournaments. I wish he would travel more and make people believe in magic.

2. Harley Quinn: Emperor Saltface
Credentials: 7th at CEO, 7th at The Fall Classic, has won or placed Top 3 in every AK tournament he's attended.
Reasoning: Saltface has proven himself in a local setting and the big ones on both occasions he's been there. Granted he has lost his first match in Top 8 each time, the fact that he has gotten there 2/2 times is enough for me to trust in his abilities. Lighten up will ya?

3. Hawkgirl: PimpimJim (Blue because Earth 2 is her only costume)
Credentials: Several GGA locals, 1st at NEC
Reasoning: Shows up at, arguably, the biggest, most important Major for Injustice "AS A SCOUT" and ends up winning the whole thing. When fighting PPJ, you have no choice but to taste the mace, as he is able to get away with yolo shenanigans while doing "Hawkgirl related activities" -@ImNewbieSauce

4. Raven: Blind Ducky
Credentials: 9th at EVO, 3rd at NEC
Reasoning: Blind Ducky has proven himself to be, UNQUESTIONABLY, the best Raven on the planet after his minions have tried on several occasions to overthrow his tyrannical reign after EVO. His most impressive feat was defeating Theo in top 8, along with overcoming what most people consider a terrible matchup for Raven, and eliminating the best Doomsday, Noobe. When NEC was in the books, everyone had no choice but to feel Trigon's Ducky's might as he terrorized the Raven forums.

5. Martian Manhunter: Reo
Credentials: 1st at Civil War, 2nd at ECT, 5th at CEO, 7th at EVO, 7th at SummerJam, 3rd at Defend The North
Reasoning: Now before I'm tar and feathered by @EMPEROR_OF_OUTWORLD, I'd like to explain why I picked Reo over Jupiter. Yes, Jupiter has been The Break Guardian recently and won several New Jersey locals, but he has yet to perform on the main stage. I do not doubt Jupiter's skills at all. He could potentially be a better Martian than Reo, but right now, Reo has the big results. Since they will both be at Apex, it will be a perfect time to come to a more educated conclusion, and if Jupiter does indeed outperform Reo, I will have to hold that shit. Until then, I must remain fair and balanced like Fox News. A reasonable person would yield.
