Just as season 1 began with a Slips win so does season 2. Using his favorite rule breaking yellow ninja the slippery one earned his 4th GBS victory, tying 16 Bit(don't want to be weird but that's me) and first season #1 seed Pimpimjim. The sole MK universe character in Injustice had to battle DC universe mainstays like intergalactic bounty hunter Lobo, Aquaman the king of Atlantis and master thief Catwoman before defeating the last Martian J'onn J'onnz. This epic grand finals of anti-zoning teleport characters would make M2Dave spew.
GGA Jeremiah made his triumphant return to GBS with his new and improved Martian Manhunter. After weeks of secret training and private high level sessions with Slips at the fabled Smith Household Jeremiah proved actually playing the game can pay off with upset victories against HAN, Saucy Jack, PPJ and myself. A new challenger has emerged leaving all the regulars scrambling to the lab to break down this new matchup.
Also in the brackets, fresh off his impressive 4th place finish in MK at Naptown Clutch GGA "Hollywood" Fill Pops places top 8 with the main man. NRF Saucy Jack debuted a new main, the emerald archer Green Arrow, and ended with a respectable 5th place finish that would make Chris G proud. GGA "Big" Pete Han finally overcame one of his demons, defying the magical chick Zatanna and eliminating long time master PPJ from the tournament.
With the first week of season 2 in the books many questions have been raised. Is PPJ destined to regain his top spot? Can "Rational" Jim ever stop spamming MB b+3 at the end of the game. Will Dizzy ever return to GGA? And finally will I ever stop downplaying Selina? Stay tuned next week when we begin the new bounty system. Anyone who defeats the previous week's winner will earn a bonus seeding point. There will be 1 point for their first loss in winners and another for elimination.
