The self proclaimed "Low Tier Forever King" picked up his record 4th GBS win on Thursday. PPJ stuck with Hawkgirl the entire tournament keeping the rest of his stable on the shelf, including Earth's Mightiest Mortal, a magical chick and a bald super villain, and stayed in the skys all night long. This proved to be a wise choice against my precious Catwoman in winners and grand finals. With this win of bird over cat PPJ has solidified his spot as the #1 seed at GGA leading up to this week's final tournament of the season before we reset the seeding points.
Other notable results were two upsets in the beginning of the bracket. GGA HAN beat GGA Slips in the Black Adam vs. Scorpion matchup. Playing on Atlantis Big Pete used Cyrax-esque massive damage combos with the interactable bounce to send Slips back to hell and to the losers bracket. Remember when Black Adam's damage was nerfed? However Slips managed to slip his way through the losers bracket, eventually beating HAN in the runback before ultimately getting scratched in losers finals to yours truly. The other upset was "Hollywood" Fill Pops defeating NRF Saucy Jack(aka the artist formally known as ImNewbieSauce) with his Lobo. This is Fill's second upset in a row since he switched to "The Main Man", beating Max's Bane the week before.
Finally we must give a special shout out to Panty Christ for his first ever top 8 placing. It goes to show hard work and grinding out MU will always pay off in the end.
