So, now that the game's been out a few months, I thought it'd be fun to look back on people's predictions for the game pre-release. This includes some threads of speculation, as well as some choice individual quotes from various people. So lets turn back the clock, shall we:

This one includes such choice quotes as:
I feel bad for the likes of Superman and Bane who just get damage boosts, it better be one hell of a boost to compete with Batman and Flash's
The only character gimmick that has me a little wary is Cyborg's health recovery... If he has ANY move that disables you for say 3 seconds... i.e Kabal dash, Subby Ice, a NutPunch/Sonya 112/Kabal f4 special or string this could become an issue.... couple that with his great zoning and I could forsee this as becoming a large problem that needs to be looked into.
There was a thread on which top players will main which characters, which included such whimsical tidbits as:
I'm no top player. But I'm using aquaman as my main. But will likely have a secondary
As well as some eerily accurate predictions and recommendations like:
In my opinion the "top" players who tested the game will be hollywood at first since they have more experience, maybe win a major and feel themselves over it, and as time goes by some of them will become washed up and people outside of the "MK Community" like SF4 and marvel players will become the new hollywood and talk shit.

There was also a thread about who the top Injustice players would be, which had memorable nuggets like this:
FChamp, Dieminon, Gootecks, Yipes, lotta Capheads playing.
I don't see MK guys adjusting well to the back to block button. Not saying they wont block, but I am saying that many will get mixed up more and crossed up more often without that catchall block to bail them out.
I'll bet that a capcom player wins the first Injustice major, honestly. Only because all those top players like JWong have an incredible ability to break a game down really quickly, and figure out what is or isn't good.
But also some dead-on arrows to the knee:
Likely the best player will be a strong footsie player from one of the other games. Someone with good reads and reactions who can do combos and set people up in a heart beat. My top pick is likely Chris G or J Wong. I don't think there are enough BS things yet to just hand the crown to F Champ. He tends to play characters with ridiculous frontal control. If MM makes it in with stretchy stuff though I can see him picking the guy up. Other wise I see him going for either Cyborg or Catwoman.
My current guess just based on who is a solid all around player who competes in multiple games...Chris G.
And what about character balance? People had this to say:
Well I can definitely see Cyborg being a monster. Glad to know who to watch out for already haha.
He's fucking broken like Cyrax. Of course he would.
Green arrown looks like a cowards choice so far, just sitting back and shotting arrows... sigh.
Grundy looks free, not impressed. Haven't seen anything from him that's scary and too easy to zone.
!I was ready to main GA regardless of ability. Now, I'm dead set on mastering that character when this game comes out. My only concern is that he is just too overpowered..
Green Arrow will be Injustice's Kenshi

Cyborg will be Online Vanilla Lao levels of top tier.
Flash looks like super easy mode.
From the videos I've seen, I imagine Luthor's going to be high tier. I think Batman's going to be the Scorpion of this game: so popular that everyone will know how to fight him after the first week.

It's the time again where we see a random tweet from Ed Boon that makes us think. Thanks once again to Zmoke for catching this and bringing it to our attention. We may have reason to believe that the 'reveal' NetherRealm is working on has to deal with Blue Beetle. Why? Just a few hours ago, Boon posted what appears to be part of a Beatle's song.

I never said Doomsday wasn't playable. But him and Raven, people go YUP CONFIRMED LAWL after one picture or tiny cameo, EVEN AFTER Doomsday is shown as a background character?
When doomsday and black Adam are both playable, this post is going to make you look like an ass lol

I personally will be taking this game as seriously as I did MK9, which means I will go to tournaments and lose 7-3 matchups in my favor. But I will have a really fun time doing it
