So, somehow I over-looked an epic run-back match that will be taking place tonight. The run-back will feature two legends of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 facing off against each other. The run-back is based off of their 2010 showing of their matches on Sp00ky's stream. The significance was during this time Mortal Kombat didn't exist how it does today and when you put legends Shock vs L.I. Joe on stream.... heads were bound to turn.

Shock's character choices seemed a little... miscalculated. As always, great set to watch though.

I like the fact that @Shock can compete/win with several different characters. I love watching Joe too, but I really appreciate shock's depth. And the popup-roundhouse-teleport-spear-roundhouse-low kick in the corner was sweet.
LOVED watching these guys duel it out. Stuff of legends.

If we got to do the first to 10 like we originally planned, I probably would have used even more characters. The main reason I use quite so many against H Smoke is because I hate mirror matches in all fighting games, but I would have liked a few more rounds.

Oh don't get me wrong, the more the merrier, and those forceball conversions when we went with Reptile definitely testifies what you're saying. It's just none of them really seemed like counterpicks against H.Smoke. I get that it still was an exhibition and he nor Joe would lose sleep over it, but still.

I think most would agree that the H.Smoke mirror is a brainfart for anyone for obvious reasons though. I'd be interested in seeing what aesthetic solutions the UMK2 hacker has in mind if he goes full steam with a UMK3 hack.

I'd be OK with no smoke puffs, honestly. If you're playing a mirror match on the subway and you get uppercut up to the street, the puffs go away. Not sure what causes that, but Snus Smokes (smokeless smokes, dad joke), are possible. Of course the pallettes are still identical.

When you get goosebumps just by watching and the matches haven't even started yet.... yep, that's @thisisiloveu taking on @Shock in UMK3 on Sp00ky's stream. There isn't anything like it.

He knows how I play and I hate mirror matches so I swap around characters. I wish we had First to 10 like we originally planned so I could have busted out Stryker, Nightwolf and Sheeva. He hates them!

Agreed. I respect those who can play with every character far more than character specialists.
