Aww, now I kind of want there to be fake out moves like SFA. Ryu's fake fireball, Ken's fake roll, Sagat's fake knee. They were fun.

Now I want Sheeva to have a fake fireball.
As little as I know about programming, surely you could use parts of the jab coding to make them cancelable?

It seems like it's possible. It would probably require adding a whole new move if they are supposed to end up like the fake outs in SFA. But that might be a lot of effort for a small reward or something. I don't really know.

I just want to keep throwing random ideas out because, frankly, Sheeva needs all of our help.

What about giving Sheeva the ability to do her new stomp that launches, but during the animation, before it lands, let her cancel it to her telestomp?

I can't tell anymore when you guys are serious or not, lol. If you were, Sheeva is a top tier character right now. She's extremely good and I could see her getting nerfed down the line honestly. And this is coming from a Sheeva main.

I think we need to be focusing on characters like CSub, Sektor, Shang, etc, they actually need buffs.

Also, after playing Scorpion more, I realize how good the character is. I had hardly picked him before because at first I couldn't get his new combos down and since HSmoke and Ermac exist I didn't see a reason to pick Scorpion. Scorpion's air throw alone is a good enough reason to pick him, which after playing him more I realize how strong his air throw is and glad Hsmoke got it taken away. Aside from his air throw, a teleporting ninja will never be "bad", lol. And previously I said he should get his knee starter (HK, HP, HP, U+LP) back but now I don't think he should. HP, HP, U+LP is a mid and it's really good and leads to good damage. If it started with a knee/HK, there would be no reason to do his other HK starter. I mean, HP, HP, U+LP hits mid, so I think it's perfect.

The only thing I could see Scorpion getting is jumping after a spear. This would slightly increase his damage and give him more options. With this buff, he would be just as good as Ermac and HSmoke, but able to differentiate himself enough to warrant picking him. And to be clear, I don't think RSmoke or HSmoke should get this buff, just Scorpion.

MK11 Kabal = MK9 Kitana
Kabal has cool ass shit now, like a lot of people will do a JK, spin, then aaHPHP, JK AFB for 35%, but you can do JK, Spin, aaHPHP, Ground Saw, aaHPHP, JK, AFB for 46% on some characters, modify it accordingly for a little less. Be smart with his combo hit counts, off a spin followed by a JPS, don't always do the 5 hit combo, aaHP, JK, AFB, do spin, JPS, 3 hit pop up, ground saw, juggle for a little more damage. Abuse that saw, it's SO good now. Off a stray aaGround Saw, try for spin, aaHPHP, and another Ground Saw. I wanna see some hype combos with this character. It feels so right.
Some people may have a hard time using aaHPHP into Saw in juggles. I've found that doing HP, B, HP, BB+Run works the best for me. If anyone still has trouble with it, use aaLPLP instead.

Good point, I hit something like HP, HP+B, B, B+Run. It just works.

I can't wait to see the formulation the MK4 type slide but make it better, more like MK9 enhanced. I think it should be applied so the slide does the same damage, but activates at least DP, so if you hit the slide and ground freeze them, it should have to be done to the frame in order to work. This would result in a 35% combo if the slide activates DP, DDP would result in about 21 or 22% I think. Whichever seems more reasonable should be what we go with. If the Freeze is the option, we'd see slide + juggle = 25 or 17% as the result depending on DP or DDP. So once it's figured out how to get the slide through with the Reptile FB flip result, we'll see which is available first. IMO, if the ground freeze is very easy to get afterward, it should go to DDP for example. Still getting more damage and keeping up a pace/juggle execution scenario than you would have before. There are all sorts of ways to balance damage now that we know exactly how it works.

Can Sektor has the HKHKTPU back?
And a flamethrower move that acts similarly to Stryker's riot gun?
TPU, Flamethrower, TPU combos ;)

Just as long as his damage stays out of mid… Konqrr said it most likely won't remain mid?

Yeah, out of Knee is just preference to me and makes more sense to his VUMK3 style imo.

I know you guys are huge fans of UMK3, i presented the hack to my friends, and the for the looks of it, they weren't that happy about it.

The problem wasn't the changes, the changes were good, the biggest problem, and possibly that will make the hack version to not stick, its the speed, the UMK3 TE runs at 60 fps and to us who are used to the MK Trilogy (PC version) speed, lots of them will not want to play this version unfortunately. The Lack of Raiden, Baraka and Noob with his own original moves didn't help either, but the tip was really when they found out that H.Smoke lost his air throw.

Its actually sad to find lots of people so close minded, i was really looking forward to embrace the changes and play this UMK3 with all of them, but it seems its not going to stick.

If the hacker ever touches MK Trilogy (PC version) i will be watching.

That is unfortunate. I play MKT, but IMO, it is stupid fast. Like, unrealistically fast and makes for sloppier play at times. Ah well. Noob will eventually have all his moves, it's just going to take a while to create them. There are still more people who play UMK3 than both version of MKT combined, many more.

One of my personal requests is to figure out how to access fatality animations and use some of them as moves if the characters need more. Since they are already in the game and are eventually used as moves in games after UMK3, it made sense. Sektor's flamethrower is one of those moves.

The Impact of the Arcade version of UMK3 on U.S and some other countries its Huge. I know that, that is also why i feel like home, for being an open minded player i like to expand my horizon and knowledge to things beyond belief

Unfortunately, in my country when UMK3 were at the peak, MK Trilogy from PSX version came out, and we played that version for 13 years since its release (1997 -2010) there is still lots of them who still plays it even today, they consider the best game in the world.

The PC version made the pace so much faster, that they don't even care about glitch japs, cl.HK pressure and corner pressure, lots of them keep saying "I think this game would be a lot better if MK2 Kung Lao and all classics didn't had boss damage"

It saddens me, they don't see it, even if they hate MK2 KL, they just don't see the errors withing the game mechanics, they don't realize that once some characters starts rushing it down, the game becomes one sized and it can only be stopped if you manage to break the opponents momentum. They still don't see that there is almost no answer to offense, so they don't care.

i can only hope

Just like Street fighter had turbo options, I could see TE playing somewhere between the speed of ultimate and trilogy. Even just a 10% increase in speed would make a big difference, and would not cause sloppy play I don't think.

Is smoke and "snuff" (Smokeless LOL) an option? Give one the air throw and give one invincibility? One would smoke, one would not.

Many of the MKII characters do "MKII" Damage in MKT which makes them slightly stronger than the rest of the cast. I really don't understand why Trilogy was made faster than UMK3/MK3. PSX MK3 wasn't faster and had the correct music speeds on top of that. Very strange.

Only just noticed (mainly because I hate the character) that Ermac's TKS still doesn't add a hit to the counter... What's the plan here?

Had to have been the way they converted the format of the MK3 to redbook cd audio.
If they really wanted something to build off of, they should have used the DOS version of MK3. Probably the truest Port of any fighting game ever
