Street Fighter V teaser

They should have waited when they had something more concrete imo. I'm sure it'll be great but it just didn't excite me at all. Not even a semi.

When I compare it to the first time I saw the SF4 trailer it just didn't come close. Though to be fair they could never do that again now.

Yeah, the video had maybe 2 seconds of Street Fighter V footage.

There was literally more footage of previous Street Fighter games than the one which the trailer was supposed to be announcing....

So it's weird they removed the trailer. We all know SFV is coming now, and that's pretty much all the reveal told us.

jesus christ this sucks.... but not as much as bloodborne being ps exclusive... wtf man i fucked up i don't even like rock paper scissors instinct...

You've definitely never played Killer Instinct.
yes i definetly have, and it's a pretty solid game but i lost interest due to the breaker system overshadowing aspects of games that i like. I am sure at an extremely high level the game is great but it didn't hook me even though it came to me pretty naturally because of that. Reads are good, but in theory they are guesses. I thought the game handled the footsies engine well too but i just couldn't get over the fact that my punishes for something i read forced me to still play guessing games with my opponent.

Well fortunately we have games like Injustice, where guessing plays a minimal role in getting combos:

*cough*

I don't, that's my point.

I have as much proof to say KI will be better than SFV as those saying SFV being a timed-exclusive will be the downfall of a rival console.

KI being exclusive wasn't awful for the PS4, and this will be no more the case for the Xbox One not having SFV until it's inevitably ported.

KI isn't SF. So the comparison doesn't make sense.

Okay, as much as I'd like to be a condescending about this, I think this is a hoax in some form or another.

With the exception of SF3 (being that the CPS3 arcade board was way too far ahead of modern home consoles/PCs at the time), SF games have always been on just about every relevant platform under the sun. Unless Microsoft somehow made a bigger mess out of the XB1's architecture than we already thought they did, that it's preventing a practical port.

If Sony genuinely have couped this as a genuine console exclusive however, no doubt they'll be shouting this shit from the rooftops at their keynote tomorrow. Let's wait and see what information we get from that.

was worried but then I saw "PC".
PC 1/2 frame link. *sako exclusive
You might wanna double check the OP, it said PS4 and PC, not PS3. Besides, the issue with 2 milliseconds of delay was down to sloppy porting, Sony hardware doesn't natively have delay or anything like that lol.

I wonder if this will come to console same time as arcades because while they show cabs here, they dont mention arcades, only PS4 and PC surprisingly
Very good point. Although it is worth noting that SSFIV did not have an arcade release. Who knows, maybe they're waiting to use it as a Trojan horse for an inevitable new revision, AE style.

Art style is what it is due to the influence of Bengus, one of the original artists for Capcom's 90s fighters.

Muscles and large hands/feet have always been his thing.

It's even more apparent in his early Darkstalkers art.

In any case, the artstyle is different enough once you actually compare the two games.

The changes are just about the same as the Alpha series to the SFIII series IMO.

It's not a hoax. The original video was posted on Capcom's main YouTube channel (and we should see it there again after PlayStation Experience in Vegas).

I sort of meant the whole exclusivity debacle lol. But thanks for confirming that it came from Capcom directly.

Yeah but KI being an exclusive was a slap in the face to fans who didn't have the console as well.

Also, just a point I want to make.

The meaning of timed exclusivity is different for people who want to compete in a game.

If you want to get the jump on your competition you're not going to wait until the game drops for your system. You're going to want to get started on day 1. Which means you basically have to buy a new console to do so. Whereas with a single player game, you can wait for it to come out on your console and not worry about everyone being 20 steps ahead of you.

One other note.
I missed the trailer but saw some screens and gifs. The game looks surprisingly similar to sf4 so far. Not saying this is a bad thing, just thought there would be more of a change.
On the surface you can compare KI and SF like that, but that isn't a very deep argument. It'd be like me having an Xbox being made that Sony isn't making Uncharted or God of War available on my system. Those are titles that the platform holder owns, Steet Fighter (and Tomb Raider) aren't.

Because some of us don't like KI and its over-emphasis on combos. I'd rather play a game where a few well placed single pokes do big damage (which is why 3rd Strike is still my favorite game, nothing like winning games just by well placed fierce punches from Chun).
