This mainly. Its more like he wants 10,000 hits. He's a capcom expert but capcom stopped putting out titles meaning his livelihood has hit a major dry spell. He puts out videos on EVERYTHING now...even the games he has far too little knowledge of. His Kano vid and Smash coverage is pretty cringeworthy to me. Sad too because he's a cool dude and all, but a lot of folks use him as their source for an opinion and it really scares me how he tries to talk deep on titles he is completely unfamiliar with. Him and Matt said some things on Smash Bros that got him raked across the coals for lack of knowledge. I really fear one day he'll make a judgement call on a game because its all he had to cover, and because it wasn't close enough to his forte he says something that hurts its community and numbers.
Mixed feelings on Max these days is all I have. He's become clickbait to stay in business.
Seriously.
I'm surprised TYM didn't front-page an MK video from him, for once.
I like quite of bit of the stuff that he does, but he has two big problems right now:
1. He tries to talk about things he knows nothing or very little about. He copy-pastes what he talks about directly from places like Shoryuken and TYM, the latter of which posts the videos even though they provide no new knowledge or useful and/or informed opinions.
2. He keeps making click bait, with titles with words like "confirmed" or "in" thrown around incorrectly and loosely, on videos where he says things like "We've received possible hints, and I have a reaching theory that it might be true or not". It's disgusting.
I still follow his legit stuff, but this is getting silly.
