I want Kronika to step on my face
It seems that EVO doesn't only bring out super powers in Perfect Legend, but the rest of the kommunity as well.
The MK9 tournament at EVO this year was absolutely amazing. 80-something entrants + $2.8k pot = A huge success, especially considering that the whole thing was planned and carried out in less than 2 weeks.
@G4S Claude VonStroke & @AK Pig Of The Hut you deserve all the credit in the world for that. What you guys did was incredible. Planning everything and then getting support from NRS, FRQ, getting IGN to cover the event... Absolutely amazing. Also when the tournament started you guys ran a tight ship; It all started on time, great streaming, everything ran smoothly and no delays. And if the EVO staff just allowed you to stay one more hour it would have been completed entirely without having to continue the top 4 the next day. Maybe you guys should consider becoming TOs after you are done with the competing.
Now a big shout-out to us, the rest of the kommunity, for the awesome support and the donations to the pot. We managed to raise SIXTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS in 10 days! And another $400 by following FRQ on Twitter. Then the brilliant support and stream monstering once the tournament began. Pig's channel on Twitch had more than a thousand viewers at one point, right?
I am extremely proud of what we did. We always have those silly arguments and we say that this kommunity can never come together and take action as one. But then, when it mattered the most, we did. We all came together and we had a great success. The love for MK was overflowing and it was amazing to see. We should all be proud.
Pig and Claude I don't think you can be thanked enough. So, for the thousandth time, THANK YOU!
This can be the first step to what we all have been wanting: sustaining our kommunity and not having to start all over every time a new game is released.
