Did everyone already know that MB damage goes away with armor?

In the last patch, they buffed MB Back3 and MB F3 to do 50% more damage, but is everyone already aware that this buff disappears if your MB move absorbs a hit with armor? I never saw this mentioned anywhere before.

Try it in training mode a MB Back3, for example with Catwoman, will do 16% compared to a regular Back3's 11%. But against an opponent waking up, the MB Back3 reverts to 11%.

Wasn't sure if everyone knew this.

simply put if you take a hit during mb b3 you do normal damage.

Yes, it's been known since 1.06 went live, I believe.

However, like you're suggesting, there may be folks who don't know.

Was known when the patch went live, I wonder if people remember that some characters can abuse this extra damage.
Seen Pig done it in a match where he wanted to do the most unclashable damage when his opponent was hit with the trait's grab.
He held B3 MB for as soon and as long as he could, that way the trait grab did more damage than it normally does.

its not really the same thing the OP is talking though. everyone knows mb b3 does more damage than a regular b3. holding a mb b3 for longer than normal does not increase the damage of the mbb3 though.

I'm just posting another fact about B3 MB that maybe some people forgot or never saw.
You misunderstood what I posted, some time ago someone posted a video showing that B3 MB can enhance the damage of other moves.
For example, if NW places a bomb on the TV's in Asylum he can simply hold B3 MB until the bomb hits the character to increase the damage of the bomb.

Same can be said about Joker's Teeth damage being increased w/MB B3/F3. Just an example, but same concept.

Oh the fun you could have when you abuse this with the rumba on Justice Hall.

Also if someone tries to grab you when you do a MB B3 or F3 the damage buff is removed because you take a small amount of damage from the grab attempt
