My favorite moment was when Brady and Rip were looking at the monitors next to them and said "I wish I could watch that match".

Seriously guys stop trying to boycott MLG, they fucked up but when they pick up a game it's huge. We need them for MKX lol

I had fun at UFGT 10 and past UFGTs, with that said, everyone should come to Combo Breaker, @Johnny2d is gonna help host it too.

This sounds horrendous, Lol. I would not want to go to a tournament this poorly ran, considering I have to watch my stress levels for medical reasons, I'd be dying.

  • No one informed us of anything, ever. We had to get Tom to chase down somewhat knowledgeable officials.
  • Security aggressively removed us from setups and disallowed us to watch our friends play "to avoid fire hazards".
  • They allowed COD players to loiter in the exact same area and turned a blind eye.
  • They began to mock us when we respectfully pointed out they're taking up the same space we were kicked out of.
  • I asked Ultradavid to contact Adam about this, and 5 minutes later "they've changed their minds and are allowing us to watch our friends play while endangering their jobs."
  • Ultradavid is doing whatever he can to help, while others are just standing around scratching their heads.
  • None of the judges are sending any matches to the stream, which leaves you with 5 hours of elevator music.
  • I brought this to the attention of the guy running things and he gave the clearance to put any good match on stream.
  • By this time, everyone just wanted to leave.
  • N Megabytes got on a 26 hour flight from Australia because he was told MLG is the gold standard of tournaments, then got treated like garbage.
  • I'm making sure things run smoothly tomorrow and you get actual gameplay instead of 3 hours of ads.
All in all, worst tournament experience of my life. Hoping to turn things around tomorrow.

Yeah they kicked a lot of people out of the injustice area. I had to fight with security practically to let me in for my match against @Syknis - the only match being played at the moment. By the way - good games to syknis! Great Aquaman I hope to play more with you in the future.

Oh and shout out to @AK Pig Of The Hut for verbally bodying security - it needed to be done.

Mlg ran great mk9 tourneys with the help of sabin and carlos who know about the fgc. They didnt this time and they fucked up. Cut them some slack. If they fucked up mk9 I would agree and say fuck mlg, boycott their ass but honestly they dont deserve it... yet...

Yeah, I'd like to add that they stopped everyone who looked affiliated with Injustice(Super Hero logos, FGC shirts, etc.) and allowed E Sports jackets to walk by without question.

I think the fire hazard thing is what's baffling me the most.

I mean, how fucking disorganized are you that you either : a) sell more tickets than you can legally hold people in there (and this isn't just "the people that handled Injustice" - that's MLG planning period) or b) make a plan that breaks the fire code in the first place.

Especially with MLG who should have enough experience in that area to avoid this whole fiasco. That the stream sucks ass and fails to show hype matches? That's one guy. That their organization is ass to the point of not checking the venue's fire code? That's straight up the whole org should get bodied.

At this point I'd just like to say that ultimately I really don't care whether they succeed or not. I'd even say kudos if they manage to make a salvageable event out of this mess. However, I really don't think the org. is needed for a game to be successful. MKX will be successful with or without MLG.

At the end of the day he's an adult and choose to attend. There was recently a judge Judy like this, a guy did something irresponsible and broke someone's car. it was actually the owner that encouraged him to be reckless. Judy said at the end of the day he made the choice to listen and should have understood the risk and it was fully his responsibility. Same here.

I do feel for the guy but no one could have known this would happen and its not the first mlg event. based on past history the risk of a bad time was low, but theres always a probability for something to go wrong. Shit happens, but hopefully the other players show him a good time anyway. Hut its not your fault, and I'm sure theres more to going to something like this than just playing the game.
