MK 1, 2, and 3 are now playable on PS Vita. As of a couple days ago, Sony made it possible to play almost all psp games on the vita. (directly and indirectly) The PSP title Midway arcade treasures extended play had the first three MK's included.
How to get Midway Arcade Treasures on your vita:
1. Check the PSN Store for Midway arcade treasures from your Vita (Unsure if it's on the vita store I already owned it and do not have access to my vita) If this works, I guess you can skip the rest of the instructions!
2. Purchase Midway arcade treasures from the PSN store from a PS3 or PSP. (No need to actually download the purchased software on to your ps3/psp)
3. Go to your vita and open PSN Store. Go to your account's download history, and choose DOWNLOAD by Midway Arcade Treasures.
4. Profit.
EDIT: For your information, I did notice some loading between matches of MK3, I did not get to test MK2, but I saw no loading screens in MK1. The loading screens weren't terrible. about a second of load time.
