Congratulations to Aris for winning WNF 3.1! Despite the recent Deathstroke nerf, he fought his way from the losers bracket, resetting it against Tyrants Superman!
Not only did Aris prove that Deathstroke still has it, but we got to see Lethal Legends Sinestro finally break top 8, and P Gorath bringing some excitement to Ares with an outstanding showing.

I was admittedly salty about the DS nerfs at first, but after spending yesterday playing with him for a few hours, I could tell that he still had everything he needed... you just need to have more patience.

It was like a breakup, I think. Everyone had their little cry, and now we can all move on. I know I did after just a few hours.

I think the claims that Deathstroke is now bottom tier are wildly exaggerated. Gonna have to watch this stream to see how Aris handles the nerfs. Plus, it doesn't get any funnier than Aris on commentary. Oh, and as an Ares main, gotta see what P Gorath is doing with the loss of the reset. It's basically just a mixup now, and I'm cool with that. And the wakeup teleport buff is huge. Shit was terrible before.

I couldn't agree more and I've been telling everyone the same thing for weeks. Aris has great fundamentals. I implore everyone who thinks the west is free because of Aris' DS to play him at any point they can. The east coast will find out at EVO

To be fair, I never said Deathstroke would never make top 8. I said he would never win or make top 4 at a MAJOR TOURNAMENT. This still hasn't happened.

It's a problem with Mortal Kombat players it seems. They make extremely hasty judgements on things without giving any time to settle and see how it turns out. This is why reo and mew2dave and everyone else making retarded hour one tier lists is completely counter productive . You never see that shit from TEKKEN or CAPCOM players. Everyone flocks to what these community members says and it just gets repeated without actually testing anything. This needs to stop for the good of the game and community .
