I know it's not Mortal Kombat and people can't die every second but with so much on the line and such a huge finale, superman and batman basically took center stage while everyone else was just fighting in the background for the final stretch of the story. Don't get me wrong i loved the story but just such a shame most of the roster got roles as henchmen (black adam for instance, and Ares despite aiding wonder women at one point shows up for 2 Short scenes then is gone, thought he would have had a much bigger role, especially with all the conflict and war)

Wait wait wait.... when the hell did Cyborg die? I remember the tower blowing up and everything, but I also remember that Lex scanned for casualties and it came up with no-one dead because everyone got off the station.

I think (bad memory) its Cyborg, Catwoman, Nightwing and Flash getting into the van at the end. They didn't bother to cover Raven, Frost, and Adam tho, the later of which is a huge fucking plot hole because he never surrendered and the only people who could stop him are dead or locked up. WW and BA could just restart the regime the second the portal closes. Not to mention they put Joker in an even shittier prison than they would have in the first place.

Overall a hell of a story mode, but some hella holes in it.

honestly i am dissapointed that Bane, The joker, and a few others(Aries) didnt get bigger roles, seems like an opportunity wasted, it was a good story mode i just wanted to see more of the joker, bane and Aries among others(Raven too)

Uh, Joker plays the biggest role of them all.

I don't think anyone but die hard Superman, Batman, Green Arrow or Green Lantern fans are gonna be truly satisfied with this story. Anyone else was misrepresented, along for the ride or just a punching bag.

Good news is, they did at least do endings for everyone.

i guess i should have worded it better

i wish the Joker was in the game more often, i wish the characters i mentioned were in the cut scenes more often

I like how they left key pieces in place to setup sequels when necessary. Superman is in prison, but no word on Wonder Woman who was fiercely loyal to him and who would definitely try to break him out IMO. Multiple Earths to draw folks in from regardless of who died or not, what will a world so bereft of heroes resort to next time Brainiac or Darkseid or some over world ending threat looms?

There's lots of room here for many stories to play out in this world. Its really nice and open.

Okay, so that was a fairly meh storyline, but it exposed me to a few characters, kinda wished it pulled a MK9 and made you play everyone.

That Damian bit tho... that was the only bit I didn't predict at all.

Also alt. universe theory ftw!! Although if they really wanted to fuck with us toward the end they should have revealed that it wasn't an alternate universe, but the future: DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUN

Storyline was good....

I think for someone who hadn't read the comics though it was definitely a little tough to keep up with.

Wish all the chars would have been playable but you guys gotta remember that takes ALOT of time/staff work/ money to do... We'd still be waiting for the game to come out. Green Arrow had me laughing quite a bit along with a few other chars.

Overall I think story did it's job. Introduced the player to some core chars and put some flair behind what is already a very good fighting game.

I enjoyed the story mode very much. The way I see it:

Hawkgirl, Black Adam, Sinestro and Green Lantern were Superman's "Generals"

The Flash, Shazam, Raven, Killer Frost, Catwoman and Nightwing were the minions.

Ares and Grundy were worthless and didnt need to be in the story at all (especially Ares)

Bane, Catwoman and Killer Frost needed MUCH more camera time.

Shazam's characterization turned me off from him. I likeed him better in MKDC.

I'm seriously enjoying Hawkgirl in this game. What a surprise; I didnt even know who she was a few months ago.

The story had a lot of dumb parts to it that made it a step down from MK9.

The whole idea of the Kryptonian Pills was a bad idea. They had the right idea with the minigames and the structure of the story so underpowered characters wouldn't directly fight the biggest bruisers but failed to capitalize on it properly.

Speaking of minigames, the less said about the good Superman being ok with murder just as much as the EvilSupes the better.

While I thought the story in general was a step down compared to MK9 there were a couple of things I thoroughly enjoyed.

How Luthor was handled was pleasantly surprising.

The personal character endings revealed in the challenge mode helped flesh out the story a lot better and was a nice reward for doing that repeatedly.

Green Arrow, Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Green Lantern was all that was supposed to come through which is why they all ended up at the same place. Joker/Batman probably got taken as well because they were hit from 2/3 different sides at the same time with the portal.


Edit: I said I'd do this if it happened and it happened - Why the fuck is Bane in this game? He added NOTHING to the story and could've been replaced with Grodd, Amazo, or any "big" person.
