Pig Of The Hut

Day 0 Phenomenal Dr. Fate and Darkseid player
I disagree. My opinion will always be consistency > one and done good weekend

Perfect example let's look at Zyphox vs Slayer in MKX. Zyphox got an Evo medal and Slayer didn't, but Slayer placed at hella tournaments all year round where Zyphox missed top 8's. Would you consider Zyphox better than Slayer because of that one great weekend? I would consider Slayer better because he placed way more all year round
I would consider Lewis Kang broken in 2015 and not one soul knew the MU

Example: KDZ 2013

I have yet to see the Hall Of Fame with only 5 players in it.

In no way am I in top 5. I only have A LOT of MK9 top 8's, several IGAU top 8's, and a bunch of 9th and top 16 finishes in MKX where only myself and Madzin have done this at BIG majors in the USA using all SZ. But I appreciate the one guy who mentioned me.
For those wondering Tom Brady had a pretty good track record in mk9

He was the best sub

What are these several IGAU top 8's and bunches of 9ths???

I dock you minus 3 MK9 top 8s for making shit up about the last two games. This puts you out of the top 15 conversation for MK9. Reflect and apologize.

Well only 3 Top 8s, but 1 of those was a major win and a few regional and local wins. Nothing besides that. There are ppl you consider better who actually have one lees top 8 and zero major wins. Same with MK9, there are ppl that i have more than twice the placements of but you consider them better. Better or not, i have always said that whos fault is it if the better player didnt consistently do as well.

You missed 2 Majors that 16 Bit approved of lol. I also have regional win and top 8s and a few local wins.

I'm not allowing 3 to count as several. Especially in context.

The MKX "bunch of 9ths" is just made up.
I also bopped your buy Theo head to head =p

Bet me that I have no 9th and top 16 finishes in MKX. It doesnt matter though, i'm not top 5 and you and your guys will always make up stuff to say im bad in any game.

Back on topic:

Top 5 is too small for me to narrow down. Def not an easy choice.

9th at Combo Breaker 2015 and a couple of 13th places is not a bunch of 9ths.
I was 9th at more than CB. 9th and 13th is also the HIGHEST SZ has ever placed at any big USA major which only Madzin and I have done. Then there are a few 17ths I have which only Buffalo, Madzin, DJT and myself have done at a big USA major.

I'm not arguing this with you, i was trash at MKX as the story is told, but it was just as trash as every other sz player. They can live in my dumpster with me, its a deluxe model.

Now, while this is not to disparage anyone, and some of these are people that have done well in their main games, the point is... These games change a lot in a short amount of time. And once the games hit their stride, the qualifications to place top 8 at the biggest majors, once competition is at it's highest, goes to another level entirely.

So unless you're also voting Arturo into the MK hall of fame (which I don't think even he would claim), you have to be really careful about comparing early majors with PR Rog making Top 8 to the true heart of competitive MK9 (events like MLG, etc). When you look at who was Top 8 at MLG in 2012 (especially from Anaheim on) and who they had to go through to get there, as well as who was Top 8 at EVO in 2012 and 2013 it's an entirely different story.

I don't think anyone who placed at one of MK9's truly golden-era majors is comparing their results from Seasons Beatings 2011 to say, EVO 2012. Just like you're not going to hear WoundCowboy bragging about placing with Sub Zero at MWC 2015 and trying to hold it up with SCR 2016 or something. It's just a different measuring stick before the game's competitive community solidifies.

But regardless you see my point? An Evo top 8 doesn't automatically make you better than everyone, you just played exceptionally well that particular weekend. I understand all the glory behind an Evo top 8, but when comparing skill between players one Evo top 8 is not better than 10 major top 8's. There are alot of major tournaments where almost all the best players go anyways (CEO, Combo Breaker, KIT) so they are almost just as hard as Evo, Evo just has like 800+ pot monsters thrown in the mix

Id agree.. but when you CONTINUE to place trough the games life it shows that you werent just a 1 and done guy like others you mentioned. Also, who you beat matters. When you have beaten some of the games best at the END of the game it shows you werent just a one and done player.

Name these tournaments. Northwest Majors the first week the game came out? Come on. List these events instead of saying a several/bunch.

Other players struggling doesn't make 9th, 13th or 17th any more noteworthy. This is your worst talking point yet. Stop.

No, but again.. all the sz's that have ever competed in the USA are in the same boat as me at big USA majors. I'm not claiming anything in MKX. I mean, im not here to argue with you. You say i was bad at all 3 games, so I was bad lol. No conversation will change that.

Well yea, then they've all failed lol. A 17th isn't even worth mentioning. You know better....
