I have a feeling the select screen is going to be way different and I am anticipating Rain, Fuijin, Sindel, and Baraka all there along with the yet announced Lui Kang. Smoke and Shang will be the classic DLC characters in the kombat pack. Later DLC will include Cyrax and Sektor along with a robo smoke alt outfit. Or Smoke may very will be playable too. I just feel an UMK3 ninja outfit pack being for sale.

Why would they put out a mk3 costume pack for a game that takes place during the mk4 era?

I love Kabal, he was my main in MK9 but I hated using him because I felt like a tier whore lol. After MK9 I basically gave up hope of ever seeing him again, everyone is all Kaballed out lol

I wonder if when the game launches they're a couple more character unlocks. But its like in mk4 and you click on a character and the square rotates and is a completely different character.i doubt it but its just a thought

Kabal has always been used a lot in every Mk he's been in. Doesn't hurt that he's always been top tier.


Besides the 7 most already posted I'm hopeing sindel, Tanya, reiko, Bo rai cho and fujin are also in the game at some point via dlc or whatever.

He wasn't really a joke character in any way besides his gameplay moves and personality. He had a pretty big role in story, he was Liu Kang/Kung Lao's mentor, he saved Li Mei and trained her, and fought for Earthrealm. He has TONS of potential for his drunken fighting style, I think a lot of people want him for MKX because he has such a huge amount of potential. The farting can fuck off and the puking can be toned down a bit but with the way NRS has been improving so drastically in designing characters, they would be able to make Bo' amazing.

Which is pretty much the entire argument for WHY the 3D era characters should be given another chance. But that's another topic all together

If you cut away the jokey shit, you're left with a unique character for the MK series. A fat, drunken master...Take away the burps, farts, and puke and give him a new move set, despite being fat he could have been made to be extremely fast and mobile. There was something there.

Bonus points: he didn't have a stupid name like Havik, Rain, Tremor, Khrome, etc.

That Baraka screams NPC to me. Looks more like a foot solider TBH. that pic is from when they are putting monks on the ship the achievement title is just referencing that portion of story mode. IMO
