Ladies of MKX: Designer Props

I think they did a fantastic job with the women this time around (even if my main Mileena is serving Jessie J realness)!

Though, I couldn't help but feel like I'd rather they have given Ferra balloon tits because she looks like a little girl and it creeps me out (she is just a midget right?)

Which might actually be the point. That poster could prefer his/her men on the slimmer side. The men of MKX are all huge bar Ermac who got a LOT of shit mostly from the "no homo" bros (and he wasn't even that slim).

Also, a genuine question to the "more body types" crew, does that include slim? Does that extend to males?
Yea she is a Pygmy

lol we make lists about everything here at tym...

but out of all the female characters, I would rank them design wise as such:

1. Cassie
2. Mileena
3. Sonya
4. Jacqui
5. Kitana
6. D'Vorah

well...kano ditched his shirt completely and his pecs put that guy's body to shame. Sub-zero also decided to show off more cleavage with his mk3 bearded outfit. and clearly sub has no problem waxing his chest but keeping a perfectly trimmed beard. and Jax needs no explanation.
None of those guys are remotely sexualised so please stop with this tired and inane comparison.
Body to shame? Why because they are bigger? That doesn't make it objectively more attractive so stop with the body shaming.

I think they did a good job. I personally didn't like the overly slutzky style they were in mk9.

I think Mileena just def be showing more skin. Nrs is playing it way to safe in order to not piss off feminist lol
Please stop with this tired narrative. NRS are doing whatever designs they want and showing more maturity and taste with respect for female characters, and they're doing this because they want to.

Also does anyone remember that time all the feminists got together and tried to ban dead or alive and there was a huge outcry about it? No? Me neither because it never happened.

I love how somebody can post a My little pony meme (not you) about being "butthurt" but if I'm not politically correct it totally gets taken the wrong way. lol. I did not mean the guy in his underwear should be ashamed of his body nor did I mean it was clearly not sexualized. sorry it may have came out that way and offended you. but my point is all the characters in the game and in the past ones even with more realistic proportions still are very much sexualized. that's my opinion and yes it's subjective. I have no problems with a "flesh pits" mileena or scorpion or subzero in the game or maybe one character having massive triple d's as long as it is not ridiculous but I am a bit offended of it would be an awarded skin as an unlockable for beating a turbo hard challenge tower and acting like it is the coolest thing on earth.

Clothed or revealing, the ladies look good! Anyone who argues their shape in the game has most likely never played the game themselves.

The male bodies and clothes were never made to appeal to what straight women, gay men normally find attractive. Like the guy I was talking to said he wanted curvier women because that's what he likes. None of the guys have oiled up calvin klein model bodies or faces, what we find attractive in males isn't important in their design, nor should what he finds attractive in females be important, that was my point. The fact that Kano is shirtless or this person has big muscles doesn't equal them being sexually appealing.

GT MK OshTekk.
I think she's showing the right amount considering her new role and experiences. In fact this might be the best she's looked since Deception!
Oh dont get me wrong I think she looks fucking amazing! I just wish she showed mor skin...

I guess alternative skins will do that so its cool.

You cannot be the arbiter of what a person does or does not decide is important for his own personal taste in character design. Just because sexualized design is not important to you, doesn't mean it's not important to someone else. Or that you have final say as to whither or not anyone else could find Kano attractive. The poster has every right to want more designs that are curvier females that appeal to him sexually just as you have the same right to want more slim males that appeal to you.

And, yes it's true, that NRS is under no obligation to appease either of you. They are designing characters to appeal to the widest audience in attempts to pull in more players and thus more money. But that doesn't mean a person can't still voice his or her opinion on what they enjoy better.

Oh look the ole tired freedom of speech argument. Yes you can shout for bigger boobs all you want, congrats, no one said otherwise, that also means I can criticise that line of thinking ALL I want, so kindly take a whole stadium of seats.

And I never tried to be the arbiter of that anywhere. I simply said the priority in design for MK characters shouldn't be making them sexually appealing.

Who said I have the final say? Kano's design wasn't meant to pander to people's sexual tastes. To equate his shirtlessness as equal to someone basically asking for bigger boobs, ass and less clothing is nonsense.

Who said it means people can't voice their opinion? Can you fit any more straw man arguments in one comment? Jesus.

I think Kano is attractive.
And I can find Jason attractive that doesn't mean he was designed with the intention of being sexually appealing to large group of people.

Muslces = strength, power fantasy, male fighters fighting shirtless is common and practical
Wanting women to have bigger butts and breasts = pandering to people's sexuality with no other relevance
