Every safe, fully invincible, meterless wakeup in this game should. not. exist.

Shoutouts to Deathstroke's Sword Spin for being extremely bullcrap in this regard since it's also multi-hitting.

If MKX doesn't have this crap, I will never touch Injustice again once it comes out.
Deathstroke's Sword Spin is not fully invincible at all and can be stuffed. It's also punishable but only by Flash and Zatanna so that's kinda whatever.

The clash system is a horrible design. While it leads to a handful of interesting moments, it leads to one problematic situation that just defies logic. When Player A has 80% of their life, and Player B has 20% for example.

Player A has to hit Player B 4 to 7 individual times, avoiding second hits, just because it´ll give B a chance to regain 30% of their health. And in doing this, they put themselves at constant risk of losing their entire health lead. How many stupid comebacks have we seen just because one player wasn´t allowed to hit the other character more than once for the rest of the match?
I think horrible is a strong way to put it, also when you're going to close out that last bit of damage and your opponent has a clash the metre game comes into play. Speaking as a Grundy main I feel the clash system works against him a lot but it's still a decision to make in match like any other. If I'm going to close out that last bit of damage I can make my opponent clash and chose to spend my metre as well to ensure he doesn't get any life back or I make the commitment to try and take that last bit of life with single hits.

I absolutely hated the clash system to begin with but it's grown on me a lot, sure it favours come characters more than others but that's no different than the breaker system in MK9. Certain characters did really good unbreakable damage just like some characters do really good unclashable in Injustice.

And could you post some of these comebacks? I can't think of many off the top of my head.

As for my opinion that doesn't change: Batgirl should not have her corner damage.

At any range where Lex can stuff it by one of his normals, he will get destroyed by a Sword Flip. That's the issue.

Also because of his floaty jump he cant successfully neutral jump it without easily being caught by a Sword Flip.

Any more than 1 frame of invincibility, hell- a half frame of invincibility would be too much for a safe, meterless, multi-hitting wakeup.

  • Flash probably still has more untapped potential (do you agree, @HoneyBee ?).
I think everything that makes Flash a good character has been found. I also think there's potentially some gimmicky resets/setups that could still be discovered or tech rollable setups that some people love but I think are pretty much useless. Basically, I doubt any new tech on Flash will interest me.

My opinion that will never change is that this game is great. Despite the 50/50's, interactables, so on and so forth, this game is fun and people that complain were just never really good/never gave the game a proper chance. I'm interested to see how many people will shit on MKX if some of these same issues are present or if they'll suck it up and adapt because of their love for MK.

Music and majority of stage colors are dull.
Double random should have been counterpick/stage elimination (something similar to SSB)
 
-The game would have had a longer life if it had had MK in the title, in spite of people complaining about the same problems.
-Injustice is as balanced a game as I think we're ever likely to see from NRS.
-While there are some questionable choices, the game is still freaking incredible in its overall character design. I love the fact that each character plays so differently from another and each one has such a unique gimick.
-The Nightwing community is actually pretty cool (source: Dickmode is my best selling product XD )
-Green Arrow is my favorite fighting game character ever and I will never ever play another character in this game in any kind of tournament.
-This game and this community are equal parts awesome and frustration both and while I'll be along with you for the ride to MKX, a part of my heart will still cry out for Injustice.

Clash is better designed than any other "comeback" mechanic out there. The scenario you illustrate requires the losing player to have and be willing to sacrifice an entire stick of butter to recover their life. Wether by meter cost, or life cost, you (as the aggressor) are taxing the opponent for using it. More over, you can use your own meter to make it even more costly for them. Last, and certainly not least, you also have the exact same option. Even if your opponent scores a four bar recovery on you and you pay nothing, all you have to do is take a hit and do the exact same thing because now they are bone dry.

Story, dialogue and music are forgettable to straight up awful

And the characters are too small. I had to pick up Bane and DD because I'm tired of squinting.
