Interactables need to be disabled for tournament play

Go ahead and try to backdash an interactable when you're on the ground brah
Yeah well OTGs suck, but I am not talking about that.
I am talking about people keep getting hit with them while standing because they are trying to jump away from them.

I think If both players make the decision to turn them off at the stage select they should be able to. Only way to make this fair. Or maybe loser turns them off.

I agree this game can be hype without gimmicks, but for real, some characters need them. A small select few might have a huge advantage with them but for majority of the cast, they're pretty fair for everyone.

And tbh, it's not interactables that make MMH & Zod as annoying as they are. Jupiter would still be bopping everyone without them.

A lot of lower tiers like Catwoman, Grundy, and Scorpion have some dirt with them too. Hell, one of the only things Scorpion has going for him is his ability to control interactables. Disabling them now might hurt the top tiers some, but it would hurt the lower tiers worse because now they dont have "gimmicks" to fight top tier BS.

For all the fun I have with this and Batgirl, I am willing to sacrifice dealing with stuff thrown at my precious ice queen.

Scorpion can't control interactables. His air teleport goes down into an angle which a lot of the chars with high jumps can avoid and he ends up teleporting under them getting hit.

That's not the problem at all, characters get free OTGs from interactables adding 20% to their combo. Typical example: MMH does a 40% combo off of overhead teleport, ends the combo in bf2MB into free interactable. 60% for 2 bars.
Yeah as I said in the comment above I was talking about people who keep getting hit while standing or trying to jump away.
OTGs do suck and I do think it's not balanced at all for gadgets vs power characters. But I don't like the idea of the community coming up with tournament rules just yet.

There isn't much else to say.

Characters (Martian Man Hunter) should only be getting 20% when they hit you but because of unscaled interactable damage they get 40% whenever they touch you.

This game would become much more fairer and less reliant on gimmicks such as

"Let me sit in the corner and use turbine/rockets/air robots" and easily zone you out with unblockables"

This game can be hype without the need for gimmicks. Interactables make chars who are already good a bit too good. Imagine if Zod didn't have unblockable interactables to toss at you while you are sitting there like a duck blocking swipes from his trait? Like come on son. The dumpster in the corner with Batman is about the silliest thing I have ever used or seen in a fighting game as well.

Martian getting OTG's after an interactable like come on.

Lets all make the right decision as a community this time and have them disabled at future tournaments.
This should've been the tournament standard the day the game came out.

Yea because background bounce adds SO MUCH DMG to someones combos. Stop it dude. Background bounce does not have to be on.

ON TOP OF THAT YOU USE AQUAMAN!
Ofc back ground bounce adds SO MUCH DMG.
Nightwing's main tool B2 has a regular combo of 31% into an ender that can be tech rolled, so we usually go for a setup that does like 20%.
If there is a background bounce we get a sweet meterless 40% with a Staff Spin ender.
GTFO.

Intractable are fine and add a interesting layer of strategy adn interesting tech options to each characters. Theirs nothing random about any of them and I can't think of any situation since the patch where someone got robbed because of interactables. Yeah some characters make better use of them than others but that's fighting games.

You do know you can do late tele as it's being thrown at your previous position to punish right.

That's because it is, learn your own options and your opponents options for interacts. Learn where to keep the fight on certain stages that limits the advantage your opponent can have, learn timing for when respawning ones can come back.
