The community according to @GGA 16 Bit judges the best players by their tournament performance OLNY.

Even though I believe you are the best foxy, I will get crucified by saying that due to lack of your ability to compete in the scene.

This is no different. I'm not saying FM isn't better. I'm just saying top 8 is something he has to have to concrete him as better than goomba.

16 Bit may be very vocal, but there's no need to follow his views just because he's loud, especially when you can take an educated look at the situation yourself.
There's no governing body in 'this community', personally I don't believe that tournament results are all that matters, tourny results and player skill are 2 different things.
1 is who can play best on the day, get lucky with brackets/ignorance of their opponents, the other is how well the player truly knows how to play the character and their matchups.

Yup. Some people got luckier with brackets than others. There's also those that are good overall but just play differently or choke during tournament.

Pig of the hut explain because I thought in order to be considered the best in the WORLD you have to make it to top 8 or even compete. Pig of the hut you can't let this slide. If I can't be the best catwoman in the world because I don't go to no tournament to compete then the same thing has to apply with everybody else. I'm i right? If not then elaborate because I don't understand.

No RA Helios , to be the best you must stay home and never attend tourneys and only play people constantly online while posting you are king of the castle or queen of the litter

Also if you lose ever once u must quickly reply before your Opponent says something stupid or demeaning like "ggs" or "you're really good" w an excuse blaming your pad

This is how all best of the best is found and celebrated

Bit and PPJ didn't make it out of pools.. No out of town people had to play people from their (immediate) scene first round of top 16. I don't really understand what your logic is....

Honestly, I don't think I'm the "Wonder Woman of America" or am better than Goomba.

I knew the mirror better and I could hold my own at a major. I may not have made top 8, but I've only been playing this game for 4 months and I still have a lot to learn. I think the thread was more of "oh crap, you don't actually suck, Filipinoman" sorta thing because everyone thought I was just some random dude calling people out as an invader from the Capcom community.

I've already agreed I'm a mediocre Catwoman and I defer to others like Ra Helios on the CW forums. Sinestro is probably a 5-5 or adv mu for her I just lost.

I played Filipino Man on Friday. He's very good. If he sticks with the game he will go far.

But if a player doesn't perform well in 2-3 tourneys, how can he claim that he truly knows how to play the character and its match-ups? Unless you're playing at totally shitty character, you can't. So of course tournament results matter. In the case of WW, it's tricky since you genuinely might be the best with her, but can't attend tournaments due to living in the UK. However, if you were to come to the US, compete in a couple of majors (hypothetically), and fail to deliver, while someone outplaces you with the same character, they're better. That way, it's less arbitrary. I honestly think you're the best WW by the way, but I'm highlighting a point.

Yeah obviously my point 1 and point 2 are intertwined. But they're not completely related to one another.
If I came to one major and get annihalated, you can't really count me out, but you'd have to if I can't attend any more. But I'm confident in myself that if you put me in enough majors I'd deliver in at least a handful of them.

It's only two players on the same side. That's bound to happen. Especially since Wound and Ducky were placed on opposite sides and there's only so much a TO kan do.

You listed way more people and made it seem like it was more than it was.

There wasn't really much to be done about it without breaking things. It's a tournament, if you're komplaining about things outside of pools when it's not even two players from the same region playing then you're just kinda spoiled IMO...
