What about the character forums that are changing by the day?

Us KF players are ALWAYS discussing MUs and today we talked about at least 10 MUs.

Maybe start over on some of the dead or outdated forums but forums like frost and batman should remain the same.

Lol the KF forum has 2 MU charts!!!

We will commence the process of closing all topics to do with game elements that pertain to the previous five versions of the game and open new threads for version 1.06. However, we won't delete them as whatever information they contain may still have its uses. Already we have one of our mods working on this.

Thank you for the suggestion.

Please make sure for the Arrow thread that it's someone who plays the character and the game, and visits TYM at least 3 times a week.

We need a new Combo Thread and a New Match Up Discussion Thread.

General Discussion thread is good.

Is there even an Arrow Mod?? The dude that did the last combo thread peaced out weeks ago.

So would everyone agree to unsticky them and make new ones keeping the other ones around but just not stickied ?
Yes. two months from now I don't want to pick up a new character and have to spend hours digging around their forums trying to figure out what's up to date and current. And it's even worse for people just discovering TYM who may not even know about patches and how the game has changed. This is the best way to do it. No one wants to dig through a 200 page general discussion that started months before the game was even released, start a new thread

Can we just bring back character Mods?
I know exactly what I would want to do haha
I thought we already did. Ares has a character mod, and I think most other character forums at least have a mod who mains that character and is active on the forum. You should probably petition someone about being made a Cyborg mod if your forum doesn't appear to have one. I doubt anyone would object to you being a Cyborg mod.

In a perfect world, an appointed character moderator would re-write one key guide for each character incorporating the old guides but adjusted for the patch. Old guides could be linked to for archive purposes.

There are many many redundant threads.

Superman forums need a reboot. Get rid of the 20,000 emo nerf superman threads. We need a new general discussion and combo thread stickied.

I voted yes, but there is a ton of useful information that is still very relevant and losing that would suck. New threads should be created and organized though for sure.

Agreed.

Who's gonna be the first one to make a 12 hour post patch tier list?

We definitely need one to know where everyone stands.

I don't think we should delete them, as there's still a lot of info there as well as a record of how certain characters developed. The convos that led to that are important.

Some characters have been drastically changed, but some not so much, and some hardly at all.

Not every character's metagame is now completely different, and a lot of the info still applies. So I'd say, maybe lock some of them and keep them around, but not delete them.

Yes, excellent idea.

I voted yes, but actually thinking on it, deleting entire threads is overkill, rather, information should be updated.

Character mods can manage their own stuff. Leave my Killer Frost forum alone.
There's not an even allocation of character mods though. It'd be nice if every sub-forum had an active and involved moderator but...that doesn't seem to be the case.

So off-hand; which forums need a more active moderator?

pls delete the old crap. Some combos doesn't even work now. Don't let old tech remain, delete everything that isn't post 1.06

I would not delete them, but un-sticky everything and rename the topics "PREPATCH_***". As others said, there is still a lot of useful info in those threads and when putting together new threads for the current version of the game, a lot can be copied over or be used for reference.

So yes for new post-patch threads, but no for a hard delete. If the new threads contain 50% recycled but still valid data, that would be a preferable outcome.
