i find that abit of a pain online aswell,I'd rather do f21 close mb laser jump 3 f213 phantom strike,it's only like 2% less and alot easier.
Yea thats a good option. I can do the 40% with good consistency. Just takes getting used to and timing the execution in lag.

I use ZC to remove the opponent out of the corner and give myself corner interactable advantage.

i think this is his worst mu followed by Harley and Aqua

All else imo are 5-5 or better
By far. Zod can compete(albeit poorly) with these character's zoning, and both Aqua and Harley more or less use that to force you to go in on them. They also still have to respect MB air ZBs enough that you can get trait out. Sinestro does not have either of these issues. He is this games one true zoner(Yes, even Deathstroke is less of a zoner than him. I actually really like his close up game) and can hit Zod in any of the pockets Zod normally retreats to in order to set up trait. Plus, once his trait comes out, you're basically SOL.

If you get your wraith out, cross your opponent up and trait grab so your opponent is facing away from you, sometimes when you b3 and hold u+f, the ending frames of b3 get cancelled and Zod jumps a LOT earlier than he should. It's actually messing me up sometimes because I go for the double j2~air rifle combo and I hold jump so I'll do it on the first possible frame. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't, I can't really figure out why. You can't connect anything when this happens, basically a wasted trait grab.

This is the same glitch as the flame carpet and eternity knockdown. I showcased it in my video at 5:58 but didn't use the recovery reduction on a b3/f3 but on a ground fireball instead:

The recovery reduction also applies to MB laser and throw/MB ZC (Kind of)

So it isn't the cross up that is causing the recovery reduction, but you accidentally trait grabbing the opponent as you land on the ground after using an air normal.

It is far from a wasted grab though, as you can actually mix the opponent up when he is in the grab (He will be able to block attacks if you attack him during the grab). This will all be fixed in the patch though.. so don't pay it too much attention.

Ok, so patch and stuff. Basically a large nerf methinks. Some fixes, some small tweaks, but 'Damage scaling' on wraith grab frightens me. Especially because they didn't say 'Slightly' or 'Normalized'

Yea I am scared of this too! Maybe, just maybe they are referring to the slashes and not the trait grab, but my guess is on trait grab scaling like Green Arrow's ice arrow now, which is quite terrible. I predict around 35% damage from trait grab for 1 bar after patch. We should all find tech to land trait grab at a distance where bf2 on whif will put Zod in position for an ambiguous j2 (Because the whiffed bf2 resets the combo)

No. This is not a good idea. People who can do standing resets have good 50/50s to back them up. Zod does not. Not initially anyways

I am not talking about standing reset with high/low though, but an ambiguous cross up after the bf2. It might be worth it for a mix up if you need extra damage!

If the trait glitch that causes the lessened recovery after f3 is not patched out (It is not mentioned in the notes), and the whiffed normal reset after trait grab is still in, then this concept video I just made, might be interesting:

First 2 versions are of the mix up with j3 on hit and block (They are locked in place because of f3 advantage, but recover right before the 3 hits I think). Second 2 are with j2 which will cross up if the block, but leads to the same combo as j3 (You can easily see and react to the opponent getting hit with the f3 before you press 3/2 in the air)

They will have to know that they are being reset and block the overhead and then they have to block an ambiguous jump in which you choose if will cross up or not:

So I was trying out setups for the MB zodball + MB lasers unblockable, and I found a reset vs Black Adam, Raven, anyone with stationary wake-ups. I'll upload a video tomorrow, you can get around 60% with 2 bars if you're around a bounce interactable and it's not that hard.

I dunno about wakeups man. Seems to me that Ground Laser is still probably the best bet. Hell, you can dash out of it if you know their gonna wakeup and bait it hard. Especially the momentum based ones. It's like, ambiguous jump ins vs Zod Ball with crappy frame advantage, or cancelable laser that's bare minimum 0 on block and free combo. And since most respectable wakeups will invul through a Zod ball to boot, I see little reason to actually use Zod Ball vs wakeup. And yeah, it's not quite on topic, but whatever
