Round Robin is the best way to.determine the overall better team.

You cant say ec is better when the entire team gets their back blowm out. Only to habe kdz win it for them.

I think the idea though is that you basically assign numbers so that each person plays one person from the other team, and the team with the most wins, wins. 10 would obviously not be ideal for that though.

CoCo is not even a real team LBSH.

I think that realistically if this is going to happen, it should be a 5v5 up to 7v7 since from prior experience it's very hard to have 10 people commit and all show up to play on Fight Night.

Almost every major FGC team vs. team battle I've seen has been straight up last man standing (usually 1 setup with every match streamed) and I don't see why you'd want to change that; unless you were afraid that a few top players from one team really are that much better than the opposing team.

TFC would be the next ideal location for this to happen, but if it happens in the East, will Cat and Chef discredit it because it's not a West Coast venue?

If it's going to happen in the West, then we probably won't see it happen until early 2014.

In either case.. This needs to happen

The top 8 isn't streamed most of the time until around top3 -- so I usually have no way to know who used which characters in Top 8, besides the ones I write about

5vs5 is more realistic then. ROUND ROBIN
everyone playes everyone in a 2/3 set. You can have 5 set ups. 5 matches going on at once amd it will run quick.

Team with most matches won.

Yeah, if you wanted to do a true Round Robin, 5v5 is a lot more realistic, although it would still take a long time (team tournaments can really drag on, even in last-man-standing). If it gets a big feature at an event like the one at EVO 2012 though, it's plausible.

But your argument is like saying that to determine the NBA Championship, we should had the roster of the Heat and Spurs play a series of 1v1's so that Lebron James' dominance wouldn't be a factor.

We would likely never get 5 setups to do this, and even so usually the fans/steam viewers want to see most of the matches, as it's part of the excitement.

Regardless, even with the length of round robin it would be a really competitive tourney and I think it'd be a lot of fun. But all considerations should be made to make sure that this is realistic and happens rather than becoming something else that is talked about and never goes down.
