UMK3 Frame Data

MK11 Kabal = MK9 Kitana
I've always wanted to do this, but it takes FOREVER.

RemZ from UltimateMK.com did tons of work:

...but it is not enough data and the frame counting was done wrong for active frames and recovery frames.

I've done some testing for Unmasked Sub-Zero and made a nice spreadsheet to put the data in. I think I have everything covered, just need to fill in the numbers. I've put in everything that RemZ found as a base.

I put in Advantage Block and Advantage Ducking Block also for Hit and Hit Ducking because some moves recover differently depending on if you were ducking or standing.

This is going to take ages. My main goal is to get the frame data on auto-combos, but I'm a perfectionist so I will probably only finish Sub lol

EDIT: Updated. More information and way more accurate.

Just posting to say that I haven't given up on this, just haven't had much time to work on it...This is going to be a HUGE database and with MK's wierd properties, it is way more complicated than what I originally thought.

good stuff man. I like seeing people doing busy work like this just to help a community.

may I ask, what program(s) are you using?

Remz Konqrr, let me know if you want me to work on this, I would love to review stuff and verify it so I can get everything in line with your numbers and start helping out. I really want to absolutely establish a way to frame count things so it's universal.

I'll make a step by step guide of how I come up with my numbers and why later. I agree, we need to standardize this for MK.

Hi Shock, that would be nice to have another contributor on this. I'm willing to continue what I started but I want to understand what Konqrr said about what I did wrong.

Another thing I would love to do is to create a database of screen shots with highlighted hit boxes in different scenarios. Like this:

I just don't know how to do it.

The example I made there is just using N64's collision detection option, and I added the yellow boxes myself. N64 isn't 100% accurate to the arcade's collision but it's pretty close.

Anyone know if this was completed and where I could find it? I am trying to sort out my normals so I know when it is safe to continue attacking or when I should be blocking.

I have a bunch of frame data for UMK3 somewhere on my PC. I still want to do this as if I recruited a handful of players and give them accurate instructions, this could be done in a single day.
