Hey guys! As many of you probably expected, Mustard and I are both super hype for this new Cyborg character in Kombat Pack 2. After the hype has calmed down, we took a deeper look into this trailer and discuss what direction we think Netherrealm will take triborg in terms of lore and playstyle.

We look into the potential of the Tekunin's return, a nod the Sektor's Armageddon ending and how we think Triborg will be potentially built gameplay wise.

It is. The description for the trailer on YouTube says that Triborg is a combination of Sektor, Cyrax, and Cyber Smoke.

While MK 9 is one of my favs so I can never get tired of it, I do agree about resets, things to exploit etc I don't like nor support any resets, easy trapping frame traps etc anything to be easily exploited...

I trust NRS will patch that shit though if someone finds something, (and there will be there's always that one person that spends 24/7 trying to find some lame shit to abuse)

I will use Sektor's variation regardless and possibly smoke's. I am willing to bet Cyrax's won't be nearly as OP was he was in MK 9.

Apart of me wants Triborg to be lower tier just so nobody(the masses) uses him and the few who do surprise people.

I am totally maining Triborg's Sektor at least if not all of them, my dream characters for MK X were Fujin and Sektor since they killed Ermac again... doesn't look like Fujin's getting in unless KP3 miracle at this point so I'll take Sektor.

For the same reason we have Alien and Leather Face.

Canon is only what we see in the story mode, DLC and everything else is just extra content for gameplay purposes, not attached to the story.

I think it will be like kenshi when the input for every special moves is the same but the properties of the special are very different to one another

I'm wondering if the Cyrax variation will throw bombs similar to how Demo Sonya throws grenades, considering that you can not do a BBF4 type of special in this game because you'll do a backdash.

On my personal list of characters for KP2 a Lin Kuei Cyborg Ninja with a Sektor variation,Cyrax variation, and Smoke variation was one of them along with Alien/Xenomorph,Skarlet, and Bo Rai Cho.

So I'm really glad to see that Netherrealm Studios did a Cyborg Ninja with Sektor,Cyrax, and Smoke variations! The Tri-Borg is definitely one of the characters that I'm most interested in and excited for in KP2. Second only to the Alien/Xenomorph

Also seeing @PND_Ketchup and @PND_Mustard reactions and breakdown of the Tri-Borg makes having the Tri-Borg in KP2 even better,Ha!
