Our lord and saviour @Tom Brady has returned to streaming every now and again. He's returned to Injustice 2 yet again, so if you think he's someone worth watching, drop in and say hi. He's trying to get around 300 viewers so make sure you let him know your support!

He needs to post more videos from inside his car.

He was one of the few pros that would share all of his knowledge with the community here on testyourmight. Even the dirt that most would keep to themselves, he'd share it. I don't think I'd have gotten hooked on MK9 and fighting games in general if it weren't for him and his guides. If there were more people like him, the FGC would probably be bigger and better off. Learning your first fighting game can be overwhelming without help, and I think a lot of people end up giving up out of frustration, end up going back to CoD and whatnot.

Anyway, I enjoyed Tom's Youtube tutorials so I'm looking forward to his stream.

A lot of people give @Tom Brady a lot of crap over the years, but the truth is, he's beent his community's silent, and not so silent, competitive leader and entertainer. I, for one, am thankful to be around this community during his time with us.

HEEEEY! He sounds like my kinda guy, but can y'all put Uncle JBeezY to speed and tell me why people gave him so much shit in the past ?Question mark?
    7. Cobainevermind87
As far as I'm aware, worst he's ever done is be a little over passionate/salty. There was one rant video he made, and no one will let it die.
    8. JBeezYBabY
      About??? And just one?
    9. portent
He's very passionate about fighting games, and it shows in his content. He does, however, take things, and what people say to/about him, too seriously or personally at times. He also takes them too hard, forgetting that this community can be nothing but trolls who seem to not appreciate what he does for us.

Nothing more than traits of someone who cares very much about what he does. This community, however, can be unforgiving and they don't like to let him live it down when he gets a little heated. That's all it really is.

Passionate about the game and has made a few rant videos. It seems that he lets the few number of loud trolls get to him. He didn't seem to acknowledge the 100 people praising him for his work but would be real upset about the 5 nobodies trolling him.

So basically he's trying to rebuild his reputation with the new gen so to speak? What games did Mr Brady play besides MK9?
    12. Cobainevermind87
His reputation doesn't need rebuilding at all, it was never tarnished or anything haha. He just likes educating people, so it's great that he's streaming again. I came on during MK9, watched him play that, IJ1, Killer Instinct, MKX, and well IJ2. I might have missed some though.

Despite his flaws(like everyone else), Tom Brady did a lot for this community when MK9 came out and foward.

Celebrating tom's legacy is great, but the speed at which he jumps on the cross and throws this board, the devs, and the entire competitive community under the bus has done nothing but increase since he stopped being a top player.

I hope if he is really back, he has a better attitude towards interacting with the community.

      Who does he play?

It seems there's WAAAAAY more layers to this onion than ppl are giving. Uncle JBeezY don't want bias opinions. I WANTS DA TROOF!

What has he done to piss the community off besides rants? Somebody mentioned he pissed off the devs?????

      I appreciate y'alls input btw :)

I find his stream really entertaining and interesting, would recommend. I used to turn off when it stopped being about the game... he has a habit (pretty much a meme) of ranting about not getting games while looking at home screen or un/reinstalling. Not sure how much truth there is to the getting games (wouldn’t surprise me tho), but I avoid/ignore a lot of that. I just like it when he’s having fun and learning/educating.

His contributions have been substantial, and afaik hasn’t done anything to incur true wrath. Maybe some questionable behaviour towards his audience apparently, but again, I’m not really knowledgeable about that stuff...

      Glad you’re back, Tom :)

Are we going to pretend like Tom Brady isn't a big name player in the NRS scene?
    22. portent
Ignore that jackhole. If he can't see that @Tom Brady laid the foundation for the competitive NRS scene from at least MKDA on, then he's blind.

Look, I'm not saying that someone's accomplishments aren't their own, they are. However, it would be shameful to deny that Brady has laid the groundwork for a multitude of games. He has broken down and enumerated the basics and mechanics of so many NRS games, including previous Midway games, along with conceptualizing and sharing countless used and evolved upon strategies for characters that people have gone on to win majors and championships with.

You can't simply ignore that. Brady streaming again is certainly front page worthy in my book. The guy can create on-the-fly content and interact instantaneously with his followers and viewers, answering questions, developing and testing strategies and theories all live for his fan base. He can reach an even wider audience when he streams and uploads his content. How is that not front page worthy?

Tom was good at MK9. He did really well during the first part of the game's life. He also placed at ECT during the first couple months of IGAU when Aquaman was broken beyond all belief.

Tom then spent several years afterward talking other players down, saying he was going to get 1st or 2nd at [insert tournament here] and not delivering, asking for donations to go to tournaments he didn't actually attend, taking shots at the developers, trying to use casuals to justify his ability over actual top tournament players, and generally making excuses loudly and publicly for not doing as well as other people.

I fully believe that Tom's a good guy. I think he's in a better place now (I hope). And as a friend, I'm pulling for him.

I’m not a huge fan of Tom Brady because some of his behavior is really unsettling, but sometimes he is really funny and I do like watching him play. I forget how patient he can be when playing these games which is really impressive and I also gravitated towards Aquaman and Sub-Zero, so it’s cool to see my characters played always. I don’t think he’s the cancerous man child some people think he is, or the legend that some people do. I really like his SZ tech from MKX and his commentary though, not just commentating tournaments but I like most of his videos on his YouTube assuming they aren’t deleted.
