Found these live action MK spin-off ads on Youtube that I never knew existed and just thought I'd share them:

Mythologies -

Special Forces (must have been Kerri Hoskins' last appearance as Sonya who I believe voiced her in the original prototype whilst she was still in the game... nice um, establishing shot :D) -

Shaolin Monks (so weird haha) -

Nice finds!

lmao at the Mythologies trailer, looks like an Industrial music videoclip. That 90s vibe!

I really like it though, but know what you mean, feels very cut from the cloth of Nine Inch Nails' Closer or David Bowie's Heart's Filthy Lesson. But I like that, it was a hugely impactful time for me as a teen musically (for which the MK compilations on TVT were a life-changer) so have a very nostalgic view of that era and industrial rock in general.

I wish the FMV of Mythologies had actually been made with that very dark gritty aesthetic rather than the cheap Brazzers porn rendition of an episode of MK Conquest that it sadly turned out to be. I especially love how fetishistic Sareena is presented in the shots, really makes her feel like an enslaved enchantress of darkness, rather than a face-painted lackie in pleather. From what I can tell in all the shots, it's even all the same actors from the game and in their original FMV costumes, so it sadly appears they got a director and cinematographer who knew what they were doing for this... but just played dress-up in front of a blue-screen for the game's actual FMV footage where it mattered most.

Yeah I get the same Hearts Filthy Lesson/Closer/Tourniquet vibe combined with the live action MKII trailer.
I miss the mid 90's edgelord Industral Rock look, It's a stylish cool look.

Also wasn't expecting Sareena to be there looking more sultry and evil than we've seen from her before, she looks pretty cool with more tattoos on her body.
