Supergirl F3 Stealth Nerf or Glitch?

In the video, I did F3 then held forward. F3 then held back. Then neutral F3.

Before the most recent patch, you could alter Supergirl's F3 distance. For it to travel a shorter distance, you held back, further distance, you held forward. Now post patch, you can no longer do this.

Was this intentional or is it a glitch? If intentional, this is a massive stealth nerf for her.
