Tech Stryker True Damage and Block Chip Damage & Meter Building Data

The Marvelous Meter Man
This is a continuation of my Meter Building project for all of the characters. I am well aware the Sentry_Gun, but this is slightly more in-depth and for the sake of completion I am doing it. This data gives you the basic tools for perfecting your meter game, so that's why there are only basic combos and specials. For block strings or more advanced combos you need to do the math yourself. Check out the General Meter Building Data Information.
For All blocked normals and specials, they all build 8.996212121% (for simplicity 8.996%) of meter per hit. So if you hit someone with 114 on block you build 26.988% because they were hit by 3 normals.
For blocked specials, you build meter on the initial use of the special and the extra meter because it was blocked. For example, if you use Baton Sweep you build the initial 5.989% of meter, but if it hits a blocking opponent then you add 8.996% which results in 14.985% of meter build.
This applies to all characters so Liu Kang or Shang Tsung for example build the same 8.996% on block.
There is no initial gain from EX attacks.
You also build meter by taking damage.
It takes 48% damage to build one bar.
This general information will tell you specifically how much build by the amount of damage you take.
You don't build meter when taking block chip damage.

Blocked EX Grenade Toss - 8.996% or 17.992% depending on how many grenades are blocked, takes 11.11 or 5.55 for 1 bar depending on how many are blocked.​

Whiffed or Hit Gun Shot - 3.725%, takes 26.83 for 1 bar
Blocked Gun Shot - 21.718%, takes 4.6 for 1 bar
Blocked EX Gun Shot - 35.984%, takes 2.77 for 1 bar
Roll Toss
Hit or Whiffed Roll Toss - 5.989%, takes 16.69 for 1 bar​
Blocked Roll Toss - 14.985%, takes 6.67 for 1 bar​

Note: When it says "takes 5.55 for 1 bar" for example, this is an EXACT measurement to fill your bar up to EXACTLY 100%. 6 of these blocked attacks will give you 105% or 110%, but for the sake of depth the decimals are included.

If you have seen my general info thread -> http://testyourmight.com/threads/general-true-damage-and-block-chip-damage-information.16772/ you should be aware of the concept of "True Damage" and this thread will show you what the true damage of all of your character's moves is, and I will also do bnb requests and update the info. I list the percentages within 2 decimal places for simplicity, but the actual numbers are longer so that is why some of these numbers don't seem create a product of 100 when multiplied by the number of times it takes, but those numbers are correct.

No, we're just saying, once it does come out we're going to be able to set up more legit strats as opposed to guessing what's plus and minus on block. We'll be able to really pump up our set ups and know what strings to avoid using

I noticed that my gameplay with Jade improved after reviewing her frame data, I actually found out how useful forward 2,1,2 was zero on block, which I originally thought it was unsafe on block:).

Loving that 3% chip on blocked gun shot, and I love that standing 4 does 9% on hit even more.

Edit: qweeler just curious it appears a single back 2 builds more meter than back 2, 1. Is that a typo or does the meter building scale like the damage?

Is that Strykers best chip combo? What are the best safe chip strings... Thats decent.
Keep in mind aside from the frames, I don't have the exact chip numbers (so I won't list anything that isn't factual). Since you asked for specific strings I just did those that lead to big damage, do respectable chip and are safe on block.


back 1,2,2: is -2 on block and does respectable chip

back 2, forward 2: is 0 on block and builds the most meter, good chip, the best possibly.

back 3, 2: -3 on block good chip, decent meter build.

There are other decent-good strings, but those are the ones that are top 3 in no particular order, but back 2 forward 2 is safest on block.

No, Vulcan Hades was the mod for quite sometime, I just recently got appointed to the position almost a month ago, so you're not too far behind buddy lol:).

qweeler is like a savant for precision and MK data, he's that dude for real.
