Sonya has a command grab from military stance (db2~1) which can be utilised to perform tic throws. Granted, the command grab can be ducked ( :() but it still provides a semi-mixup on block. The following strings/normals when blocked can be cancelled into military stance grab.

1
2 L
3 L
b1 L
b2
b3 L
f2 L
d1
d3
d4
12 L
21 L O
213 L O
22 L
b33 L O

On hit, those marked with L(db2~3) or O(db2~4) can have military stance cancelled into them to provide a combo.

Any good tricks for going into Military Stance and cancelling out of it? Like forcing a flinch into b14 or b332?

Just input the entire string and end in military stance. React to your opponent. Did they block? Grab/overhead(if ducking)/low(if standing). It's about conditioning your opponent.

Or have I misunderstood your question?

Well you for sure answered my next one. But I meant how would you make them fear MS so much that you can get them to flinch when you go into it on block? Is it then possible to cancel it into a string such as b14 or b332

The thing is, the only way they can get out of the grab is by burning meter on armour, backdashing or ducking (without blocking). The first of these requires resources and the other two are caught be cartwheel. It's about conditioning the opponent. You can also finish the string early and block or, cancel it into parry instead of military stance to try and catch counter pokes. You can also counter into an armoured move to try and bait out counterpokes.

Curious on this... because its something iv'e been wondering

I've watched characters with Good backdashes just backdashing this kind of thing.

How are you guys dealing with that? Is military stance back to neutral fast enough to block armor? is MS to neutral fast enough to allow me to chase a backdash with f2?

Tic throws in this game can be backdashed, armoured , neutral ducked (ducking without blocking) or neutral jumped. Luckily, the overhead option beats all of those. You have to condition your opponent to block, and that's when you go for the tic throws.

To answe your question more specifically, no the cancel isn't quick enough (since you can't cancel the move in it's first few frames).
