SoCal Regionals 2016 planning is well underway and we are ready to unveil the starting line up of information you’ve been waiting for! First off, we’re excited to finally partner with our friends at the beautiful eSports Arena in downtown Santa Ana to host SCR this October 14-16! The lavish 15,000 square foot, multi floor venue is well equipped with stage, lighting, sound, and awesome amenities for the modern gamer. Already home to our Weds Night Fights and Vanguard events, we are yet to utilize the entire facility which we have plans to rock the house from wall to wall with games, vendors, and special surprises this year. Registration will be open early August and can be found on our http://www.socalregionals.com/



We are super thrilled to partner once again with Warner Bros. Games and NetherRealm Studios for SoCal Regionals 2016! Mortal Kombat XL top 8 finalists at SCR will compete for an additional $10,000 in cash brought to you by our friends at Warner Bros. Games and NetherRealm Studios! With the latest update, we expect to see some fresh faces battle the veterans for bragging rights and huge prizes this year in SoCal! We can't wait to see the action unfold this October 14-16 at eSports Arena!

Next up, SoCal Regionals has featured over 20 games in the past and it was a fantastic collaboration of various communities to play their favorite titles. Due to growth in main title games, we are consolidating older titles to ensure quality space needed for attendees and competitors at the event. Now for the SCR2016 lineup:

We have partnered with the Holiday Inn Santa Ana as our official SoCal Regionals 2016 hotel. We have a group rate of $114 for 2 Queens or 1 King per night at the hotel. Microwave, refrigerator, swimming pool, 24 hour convenience store, parking, cable TV, and plenty of food nearby! Holiday Inn Santa Ana is also one of the closest 4-star hotels and about a 10 minute drive from eSports Arena. There will be shuttle options from the hotel for $5 to eSports Arena prior to designated pool schedules throughout the weekend. More information will be posted very soon to ensure our guests have transportation to and from the venue. You are welcome to utilize Uber or Lyft options too if that is more convenient. SCR group rate link will be available early next week and updated on this blog post and our SCR site.

I so wanna go!!! Ugh, I need to make this tradition. I went last year and had a blast, but had no car, so I couldn't go the third day to watch top 8! Now I do have one, and the venue is like 20 mins from my house. SCRew it. I'm registering lol

SCR will be a first for me, but should be loads of fun since I know some of the big names will be going.

If anyone wants to possibly split a hotel let me know. Idk the exact details of what's going down yet, but I expect a big group going and looking to split fees.

If i read the site right it seems like Only 30 people pre regged so far. Comeon people. If you are in cali make the trip. 10K pot. Possible patch. Support your event. Show them the nrs community cares about the game.

I don't even think Wound was registered before, so yeah.

This is gonna be nuts. If I get top 8 post Alien nerfs at an event like this, TYM is gonna have to hold all kinds of shit.

Sonic probably not cause of school. He even said he would be going to less events. He choose to go to TCW last second. And was only able to gete a ridde from cossner cause someone bailed last minute.
