Breakthrough Skarlet Meter Building, "True Damage" and Block Chip Damage Data

METER BUILDING DATA

This is a continuation of my Meter Building project for all of the characters. This data gives you the basic tools for perfecting your meter game, so that's why there are only basic combos and specials. For block strings or more advanced combos you need to do the math yourself. Check out the General Meter Building Data Information.

For All blocked normals and specials, they all build 8.996212121% (for simplicity 8.996%) of meter per hit. So if you hit someone with 112 on block you build 26.988% because they were hit by 3 normals.

For blocked specials, you build meter on the initial use of the special and the extra meter because it was blocked. For example, if you use Down Slash you build the initial 5.989% of meter, but if it hits a blocking opponent then you add 8.996% which results in 14.989% of meter build.

This applies to all characters so Stryker or Johnny Cage for example build the same 8.996% on block.

There is no initial gain from EX attacks.

You also build meter by taking damage.
It takes 48% damage to build one bar.
This general information will tell you specifically how much build by the amount of damage you take.
You don't build meter when taking block chip damage.

"TRUE DAMAGE" AND BLOCK CHIP DAMAGE INFORMATION

If you have seen my general info thread -> http://testyourmight.com/threads/general-true-damage-and-block-chip-damage-information.16772/ you should be aware of the concept of "True Damage" and this thread will show you what the true damage of all of your character's moves is, and I will also do bnb requests and update the info. I list the percentages within 2 decimal places for simplicity, but the actual numbers are longer so that is why some of these numbers don't seem create a product of 100 when multiplied by the number of times it takes, but those numbers are correct.

I've posted this in another thread but if your opponent were dumb enough to stand block more than one f212,1+2 Ex Dagger Cancel, with 3 bars of meter you can actually do the f212,1+2 Ex Dagger Cancel 5 times because you build 2 bars back over the course of spending them. this is the scrub killing technique... but obviously does nothing against someone who knows how to get out. I just post it as an example to illustrate context to how much meter that string actually builds.

...Plus if you do this to a scrub it makes Skarlet look like she is at a dance party and the other person isn't invited :)

Something interesting I found out about Skarlet's Down Slash after Red Dash is that Skarlet builds extra meter from the Down Slash, but she doesn't build meter from an Up Slash after Red Dash. What this means is that the more Red Dash, Down Slashes you do in a combo, the more meter you build.

Something interesting I found out about Skarlet's Down Slash after Red Dash is that Skarlet builds extra meter from the Down Slash, but she doesn't build meter from an Up Slash after Red Dash. What this means is that the more Red Dash, Down Slashes you do in a combo, the more meter you build.

Oh then it must be a glitch. Try doing Red Dash Up Slash but hold forward and press 2. It doesn't build meter for me lol. But when I let go of forward and press F2 it builds the meter.

Thanks. I just updated the execution topic with a little note about this glitch.

The Parlor trick is now on making hit the f2 on block, if they do, they'll have to block the entire string until Skarlet dagger cancel it

A Flesh and Blood combo on block do more damage than any single on hit, this string is soo worth it^^

I still feel this thread is very important, and i believe we can still all suck some powers from it we do a bit of maths with the true chip and damage information thread, also because Skarlet is a meter fighter.

Red slide doesn't build any meter just using it, but dash into slide on block builds 14.985% which takes 6.67 for 1 bar
