As far as we know, the only way to get a hard knockdown is via Super, which is the same as in 3rd Strike.

I think sweeps on counterhit and throws give hkd as well

That kumite was awesome. To see what each character was capable of already was really sweet. Cammy, Bison, and Chun look more different than they EVER have, don't even get me started on Nash. Bison continues to impress me with what they have done with him.
