Cyrax BITCH ASS doesn't have a thread yet, but we're making sure Sektor gets the respect she deserves.

I was worried when we first saw the Khaos Reigns trailer because when Sektor pulled her Spiderman arms out they had grenade launchers on them. But thankfully in Mus-TARD's newest trailer we see, at least in cinematics, that Sektor does still have missile launchers. And multiple scenes of them being homing, so hopefully she herself has that ability in game.


Invisibility too was shown in the trailer. Its crazy to think that Sektor has been shown to have that ability for decades now in cutscenes but could never use it in a match. Had it in Armageddon, had it in MK9, and has it again in MK1. I wonder if they'll finally let her use that

So early theory crafting with Sektor, she has a restand, and a multi-hit launcher.
That is going to be day 1, hour 1 testing to see what that means for Goro.

I'm picturing you getting a full combo, calling Goro unblockable stomp, ending the combo with Flameburner restand, then going into blockstring cancelled into uprocket-barrage-launcher thing. Goro comes down, breaks the opponent's guard and makes them get launched by the rockets for a free reset.

Its a similar concept to this, except multi hit moves make this much, much easier.

This type of setup can usually be beaten by crouch block, but I'll have to see what type of strings Sektor has to optimize it

Before seeing her gameplay, I honestly didn’t have much interest. Now I have a LOT of interest. She looks like so much fun, definitely wanna try her out

Final Conclusion, Cyrax looks more generic rolling the bombs and just being acrobatic vs unnatural with the kicks and junk, but Sektor looks way cooler to me with all the Guns and Rocket Boosters.

Hard to tell, considering its a charge normal I'd have to imagine its plus. But they didn't really go in depth with Sektor. They didn't mention her flight mode at all, or how she can special cancel her air rocket.

You really made one of the best threads for this site in awhile man. Really congrats. It really does help people see what others are talking about because sometimes the players get into their own ego and won't listen until hands get out on them. And it's funny ASF too. Major props

Looks like it pops up enough to get a small combo from a low. Or maybe a crouching normal into teleport/ex teleport. I don't remember if the normal uncharged pops them up.

Lady Sektor seems like she will be fun to play.

My main issues is like MK9 her human/government name is actually Sektor, so weird. Why can't she just have a real name, and the suit can be called Sektor(maybe they will do this, but I doubt it)

She is so much less interesting then dude Sektor, even though he is barely in anything, he had such a presence, just an evil prick, with such a great menacing laugh. He worked so well as being the big bad Lin Kuei.

Also the dumb Marvel mask constantly opening and closing, she sure as fuck isn't Robert Downey Jr, I don't need to see her face every time she talks.

Negatives aside, definitely want to run Sektor/Sektor.

I'm lowkey getting MKX vibes from Sektor. I refused to learn Sektor when MKXL dropped because I just knew he was gonna get nerfed, so I learned him after he got gutted. I feel like the same is gonna happen here lol. I might just focus on Noob until Sektor settles down

Sektor has EX Flamethrower as the armor move, and can be held/released at a certain point while it's flaming depending on how long you want to hold it. @Kiss the Missile this got me thinking. Will it be something like MKX D'Vorah where even though it was unsafe it was almost impossible to punish because you didn't know when she was going to release the acid? And since you can hold the duration, then it will likely be launching armor with ambush kameos? What do you think?

The flame itself only hits once, so I don't think it'd be like Dvorah. I think it'd be more like Cetrion Rock Wall where you have to guess if she's going to throw the punch after it or not.

As far as if it'll be a launcher, the punch definitely will be a launcher with Mavado and others. The cancelled flame itself idk, I think that one would need to be premptive because of the weird grounded reaction rules this game has. This would be the juiciest one because if it would work, it would allow for a full grounded punish.

From the testing I've done with OTGs and stuff in this game I think that the second Sektor cancels her flamethrower, the opponent will still be in the hitstun animation but they'll be able to block any followups. But because the 2nd hit exists, as long as Sektor holds it the opponent is still open to followups. This is exactly how Geras' OTG works. So what would need to happen is a Kameo exists that can come out fast enough to hit the opponent before Sektor's "hold" runs out, and grants enough advantage that she can then cancel and convert for a full grounded punish. I don't think that exists unfortunately, maybe Sektor Homing Rocket, but you'd need to call it frame one I'd imagine.
