Robot Smoke aahpHP

So the other day DC HUSTLE and I were playing. Just fucking around and talking about other shit. I teleport with Human Smoke, he blocks it with robot smoke and continues to do this: aahp, hp teleport to combo. Ever seen this? The game generally doesn't allow it. So both of us are like "WTF" he's like "You just see that? I swear I got it" I'm over here like "Fuck yeah I saw it let't do it again."

So I teleported and let him try the combo for two matches and he didn't again at least once. I don't remember if it was twice. Regardless, I've seen it done. Both punches hit and I am really confused by it. Anyone know anything about this?
 
It was consecutive. For some reason i didn't look at the guide before I posted that. Here's what it says:

" It's limit is 1 hit before hand, and breakable to two on just frames, but is hardly worth the effort"

I still don't understand the just frames. Does that mean there's an extremely narrow margin of timing that this is possible? The way I understand it now is that you have to delay the hp's for and instant, and then hit them at and absolute time with no room for error.

I never really try this on live because of obvious reasons and I don't really use R Smoke a whole lot, but if anything, Robot Smoke's aaHPHP, gc(TPU) is easiest vs a blocked male ninja TP. Basically hit, HP,F+HP+/F+LK. It sets up nasty high damage combos like, aaHPHP, TPU, JK, spear, 5 hit - 69% or aaHPHP, TPU, aaHP, JK, air throw. - 64 or 65%. There's a chance that after he tried it again, it just wasn't available those rounds, it happens. Initially, he was probably hitting HP rapdily and trying to cancel it so quickly and got it by accident. I just tried it a couple times to get the damage counts and got the gc about a dozen times.

I've talked at length with ded_ about what could cause it. At first I thought it had something to do with the random player frame advantage. If you notice, when two players attack at the exact same time one of them always wins, but who wins isn't always the same person. I don't remember if it's specific rounds or every full match but it isn't random per contact everytime, it's entire rounds at the least. This can influence matches between two rush down players. Generally the person with the frame advantage will win most close counter scenarios. It would make sense that the frame advantage person would also be able to glitch cancel special moves, but this is not the case for two reason. I've had matches where frame advantage cannot gc, and matches when gc is available for one character it's available for the other. I thought maybe it was stage dependent, or like, if player 1 lost the previous match, for example, etc. Nothing I can find matches up.
 
I've also noticed very strange things happening in the corner such with kabal's spin and stryker's infinite. Areas where you what should happen doesn't, where kabal's spins and stays infront of the character as opposed to being able to push the character out for afbs. Stryker will randomly jump behind the opponent sometimes when doing his infinite, while trying to fix the timing of the jk to punch and jk a little earlier than wished. It's very strange. Some people have told me it has to do with each player having his "own corner" but I have found that theory to have no coorilation at all with what's happening.

There are miniscule properties involved in those situations that cause these seemingly random things to happen. But a direct example with P1Kabal would be, right side of the screen spin = Kabal out of corner, left side of screen spin = Kabal in corner. P2 Kabal is the opposite. This would also apply to Stryker.

Obviously, as explained in the guide via your SRK info, these are just examples for the thread since the characters were mentioned. Also, as for the double contact stuff, I just went through and did more testing and still cannot find any relation to player priority and glitch canceling, so it will have to remain a mystery until someone can word it.
