Be helpful and notate properly and this thread will come along swimmingly.

On a final note, is you include video of your combos, please list the inputs in that same post so I can better update the OP with what you have included.

Question for anyone that can answer, is it actually possible to land the full 212xxBF3 ender at the end of this combo:

212xxDB2ex, B3, J3, 212xxBF3

It seems like the opponent falls too fast for the BF3 to hit so you just whiff and run by. I am terrible so until I'm told otherwise I'm going to believe that its an error on my part rather than it just not being possible.

For anyone that has landed it, can you tell me how much damage the full combo does against Superman on competitive settings? A video would be cool too if possible just so I can see the timing.

212 ender tends to whiff if you start the conversion with the full 212 string. You might want to try J2 or use a B12 ender instead.

Or you can be like me and use an easier route for midscreen damage... it's not as potent though

Robin's "ELUSIVE SWOOP" Ability allows him similar damage to DB2 Meterburn route without the tricky timing of B3.

Conversions look something like this:

Thanks. And yea I pretty much only use the B12xxBF3 ender when starting that combo with 212. I feel like the second hit of the 212 ender can whiff a lot as well because of the sword flip animation. Using 21xxBF3 is an option for a little extra damage over the B12 when you can get it to hit, but I prefer the consistency of the B12.

Just did 513 on Batman. Pain in the ass to land though. Can't land it at all on Superman. Strange. Superman also falls out of the J2 instead. WTF

J2 instead does 480ish on Batman. Much easier to time...but I can probably practice and get the J3 with some time (literally just picked up Robin today...Damien is such a bad ass)

Superman just seems to fall faster than Batman. Very weird. Can't figure it out. I can get B3 raw into the combo...but not off the ex DB2. Bizarre.

Edit:

Can't land it on Canary either. I guess something is different about Batman? (Damien hates him more I guess *shrug*)

Anyway, was able to do just 2 into BF3 for 498

If that ^ sucks, find something better. My advice for landing ji3 after b3 is to hit the ji3 very late. If you can't, using ji2 is just fine.

I'm not sure why this thread isn't already to brim with Robin BnBs, but... there you go, I guess.

The OP is sparse because this thread can only expand if people share what they know. I can flood the thread with my suggestions, but I can hardly decide what is and isn't optimal on my own.

Hence, 'community resource'.

We'll get out of this thread what we put in, I'm not curating this all on my own.

OP has been updated with corner routes and expanded midscreen routes covering more scenarios (F3 and D2).

Added Trait as a possible ender in all scenarios (canceled from 212 string)

Appreciate you checking this out, but based on the 513 damage on Batman it sounds like you're missing the second 2 in the 212 starter before the DB2 MB comes out. By comparison, if you land the full 212 starter, it will do 505.85 damage on Batman before he falls out prior to the BF3 landing.

My new bnb im using is 100% consistent with practice and is overall better than ones listed. Ree helped me figure this out from discord.

it uses trait but increases gravity to stuff wakeups and maxes out Robin's midscreen meterless damage. By using this, I'm saving meter for harder conversions off other strings with db2.

I'm having this issue too. Even tried j2 & j1 and still having the same issue. Not sure if the b3 timing is messing up the bounce arch or timing the jump in after wrong. Any help?

p.s. Been practising on Superman. After reading other comments that he falls quicker, that might be the issue?

I discovered these combos last night, not optimal but easy enough for consistant execution. Some ideas I seen elsewhere that inspired them and I haven't seen the meterless trait setup anywhere before. These are for the blue birdarang but you could swap in the other 2 for different setups.

Blue Trait

  • b21xxdb2 MB, walk forward slightly, d2xxdf4, 212xxdb1 (trait setup)
  • f21b2, d2xxdf4, 212xxdb1 (meterless trait setup)
Follow ups

  • Low: MB (the db1 from setup), dash forward, d2xx4, b3, j2, b2xxbf3
  • Overhead: f21xxdb2 MB, j2, 212xxbf3

How do you get his boomerang to explode? I keep teleporting
He has different traits, done with different inputs. Just hitting 4 will throw his teleport birdarang. I honestly forget the command for the float snd explode ones but I think they are df4 and db4.
