Guide Raven Punishment Guide

Since I co-main Raven I wanted to do a punishment guide for Raven as well. Just a little sort of legend: (H)=must block high, (L)=Must block low, into combo=Can combo after punisher, into pressure= Opponent must block this option, can continue pressure from there

The first thing to know is what her good punishers are, so here are my personal go-to punishers for different situations:
  • Soul Crush: Fast startup(13 frames) hitting within 3/4ths of the screen. Can be Meter burned for full combo if close enough.​
  • Singularity: Slightly slower startup(16f) with less range but leads to higher damage combos with MB​
  • Event Horizon: Very slow startup(22f) but hits fullscreen and gives combo opportunities with MB​
  • D1- Fastest move(6f) with decent range(sweep distance) and leads to combos​
  • F2- Fast startup(13f) with good range(dash distance) and leads to combos​
  • Armor- Obviously you can just blow through stuff with MB B3/F3, won't put that in the guide though. Just know you always have the option as long as the attack is not multi-hitting. The armor comes out on frame 8.​

Just a note, Don't do F222 into combo, do F2 (both hits) into MB lift.
F2 ex lift does more damage in the end by 2-3%
If you don't plan to use meter, then yeah, do F222 lift/SC/Trait

Or F2233 to keep them close. :)

Or f22u1 to quickly switch positions to a more favourable screen side before continuing the combo, especially if doing a non-MB combo.

Just a note, Don't do F222 into combo, do F2 (both hits) into MB lift.
F2 ex lift does more damage in the end by 2-3%
If you don't plan to use meter, then yeah, do F222 lift/SC/Trait

Or F2233 to keep them close. :)

What kind of starters do you utilize the most that work well for you. I've been trying B12 into singularity followed by combo and then I also try j23 into singularity followed by combo but online I have issues starting it out.

F22 is a good whiff punisher. That is my main string to use.
 
I love this string. I usually use the 3 attack though for pushback. Forgot you could combo off of it honestly lol
Thanks a lot ya'll these tips are really going to help in me mastering the "Great Purple Chick" lol . I really love how she plays and I feel like I can do some serious damage with her. I have had a great time with her F22u1>22 into singularity.
