What is your opinion of it? IMO, Sony has quite alot of nerve pricing this the same as a PS3 system. Lets be honest, this wont be near the quality of a PS3 and the Japanese is having many issues and poor sales. Plus it does not come with any type of SD/Memory Card. Yeah you could Sony definetely is very money hungry for this device and it is offending at how overly priced this thing will be.

It depends honestly, I may get it on release date, but I may also wait first for when it inevitably drops in price dramatically after the 3DS curbstomps it.

I can't really say that homebrew for it won't influence me either.

I'll most likely get one since MK will have a title. I can think of many times I've been away from the house and had the craving to rip someone's head off.

Yes, to check out all the gameplay changes/additions like i did for MKA WII. I want to hear more about the game though. If it's not gonna be much different, then i'll probably pass.

kinda ruins the idea of portable, plus i cant imagine playing on a stick with a screen that small.

Well I'd assume there'd be an HDMI port on it though, so if you're traveling for instance, you could hook it up to a TV in your hotel room as opposed to bringing your console along

I do agree, but MK9 is being released on Vita. Will it perform well? I kind of doubt it, but who knows. IF MK9 runs smoothly though, the only limitation is the controls, so if you can use an exterior stick/pad it'd be nice.

Sony has a lot of nerve pricing this the same as the PS3? What? People expected this to be much more expensive with all the features and capabilities revealed at E3. $250 is the quintessential price for the most powerful handheld console ever.

That said, I'm likely going to get it, but not on release. I made the biggest mistake ever buying a 3DS when it was first released. I didn't buy a single game for it until Super Mario 3D Land came out at the end of last year, and the price of the system had dropped quite a lot by that point.

nah, when it comes to handhelds nintendo have always had my preferred machine in terms of games, dont see much point in having both

Well I've always been a handheld guy. I had a DS (well 2 if you want to count my wife's lol) , like 4 PSPs (fat, slim red and blue, 3000), except the PSPGO. I always hated 3D which is why I haven't gotten a 3DS yet or probably never :-(

I was sold on the Vita and was ready to get it day one, but seeing how Sony is trying to milk money out of my pocket turned me off big time. Don't get me wrong, I'm always up to support the products or brand that I love. But when your ways of trying to make a profit is darn right wrong, you couldn't have sent me away any quicker. Here is why I say this. In this day and age, I can't imagine an entertaining device that doesn't have internal memory in it. Sony decided to leave that out on purpose so it could sell us the ridiculously overpriced proprietary memory stick. What pisses me off is because they are proprietary, you HAVE to get it from them. And to make matters worse, the stupid card is REQUIRED to play most of the games. Pricing a 32gb at almost half the price of the system originally is stealing no matter how you look at it. Yes they knock out $20 after everybody's negative reaction but let's face it, IT IS STILL 32 FREAKING GB. It's hard FOR ME to shell that kind of money when I know we can get terabytes of storage for the same amount. I know at some point we will get mobile gaming on it when PS Suite drops on it but knowing Sony, they will probably still charge $3.99 for angry bird when it's either free or $.99 elsewhere. And the statement of pricing games base on their quality is kinda fishy too (which explains why uncharted is $50 while other games are $40).

I will eventually get a PS Vita. Heck my original plan was to get the 3G model ($299), an additional 32gb (didn't know that the system didn't have internal memory at the time and the ridiculous price for it), and of course Uncharted, gravity craze, and maybe UMVC3 since I've never played it. Even if I were to get one game, I'm still looking at close to $500 for a day 1 purchase. To be honest I would get waaaaaay more use out of an ipad at this price than a vita. I just don't have the time anymore to constantly playing handheld games. Once I'm done with a vita game except MK, what else am I gonna do with it lol. So right now, I'm either waiting for a nice bundle deal for $300 that includes a 4gb or 8gb memory, a game, and I dunno a pocket (whatever accessories they want to include, I'm mostly interested in the memory card anyway lol) . If 3DS continues to outsell vita 5:1 Sony is gonna have to bring those bundles out hehe. Or just wait for the model that will have internal memory in it. C'mon we all know it's bound to happen lol.

I really really really want the vita to do well. That way we will get even more support. I truly don't understand why ppl keep bringing the poor sale argument like it's a major deciding factor to getting one. Even if vita only sold 1 in the next few months it would probably be my purchase bc I just gotta get me one. Just not the way Sony is trying to get my money right now ;-)

you have to consider that the vita is being sold undercost, they are losing money for selling the system and the price of the memory is their attempt to recoup their cost.
