Pshh Jade. Some characters have it easy.

Can we talk about how bad Stryker had it tho? Not a single over head besides B2,3 which was easily interruptible and ex baton sweep that was easy to react to. Highest + move was +1, everything else was ass.

-I still believe that at NRS, characters are balanced for casual/online play in addition to high/level competitive play -- not just the high-level play. When you think about it, it explains a lot; why characters like Kano, Sheeva, etc. that have "cheap" moves aren't as good as the rest of the cast. (It also explains why Kabal was left alone, since he wasn't a big deal on a casual level). It's probably why Noob Saibot isn't a dominant character, etc. I think that people often forget that a game that sells 4 million copies is selling mostly to average players who are playing for fun. There's a chance that this has something to do with Jade.

-I also find it interesting how no matter how bad your character is, people will tell you that it's actually good and you should just level up. Usually it's people that haven't extensively played the character in tourney or had to deal with most of the matchups against high-level players. They usually go through a laundry list of everything your character has ("X does decent damage, Y has good range") without talking about how those things are rendered ineffective in matchups.

Character dynamics are interesting.. It just goes to show that you can't trust everyone to make the calls for a multimillion-selling game; or for balance in general. Everyone seems to see things in different ways.
