Question - Ronin Optimal uses of quick call?

Been hitting the lab a bit with ronin and trying to figure out what the optimal use for quick call is in the attacking context (e.g. other than the obvious use of getting the sword back quickly when it's on the ground). Is it mainly for mindgames / frame advantage in certain situations?

Quick call is for the frame traps. Makes many of his strings plus. For example f122+4~quick call is about plus 7, possibly more. It's essential to his pressure.

Ok that makes sense. Best follow ups after quick call? I'm assuming b21 is essential

Right, go for the mix up, b2 or b3.
If you want more frames go for 21 (+2 on block) or b11 (0 on block)
Or d1 check.
Or a cheeky throw.
Thx. Do the plus strings involving quick call always assume that the blade is already on the ground before you start the string, or are there options to both drop the blade and do quick call in the same string?

Both are plus with some string like f122+4 and b212+4 but they are not plus enough to guarantee anything the best case in those situation is to make a read and either block or go for b1 or d1

The most plus string assumes the blade is on the ground already(f122+4 qc) but b212+4 blade drop is plus 1 and f122+4 may also be plus something(someone correct me if im wrong).

You're about +8 off of F12 2+4 quick kall, so unless they armor, you're guaranteed F12 2+4, B11, 21, and I think you're practically guaranteed B21. B11 and F3 can break some armors, so mix those in with your other blockstrings to make them always block.

Then, once you've got their respect, run in throw all day. Micro reads baby.
