I think it says a lot about how good the character designers have gotten that they made Jacqui of all people look good. Like really good
I don't think you'd want that constantly going in the background while you were trying to seriously focus and play. It works for a trailer, it's not great during actual gameplay. The music in the trailer is so cool, why can't the arenas ingame have such an uplifting soundtrack instead of having stuff that quickly turns into background noise...
Based on what they said in the Kombat Kast she really can’t zone at all - at least that’s the impression I got. She’s a close range brawler/grappler.Jacqui’s moveset looks pretty diverse. Kinda like a zoner and counter zoner, as well as some rushdown moves. She also looks to have some quick normals. Kotal was cool too, but they definitely focused more on Jacqui for this trailer.
She's got the one projectile (which comes in three forms: missile for damage/knockdown, bullet for reset, fireball one for DOT damage while grappling). You choose which form you want. But that's all she's got, and its more of a supplement and to keep people honest.Oh yeah? I was working wasn’t able to catch the KK yet. Was just basing that off the trailer.
Huh... well that’s interesting. I wonder if that’s stage-specific, or a hint at a new mode/option.Someone pointed this out:
Around 1:14 when Jacqui is doing her Krushing Blow, you can see the background morphing from Kotal Kahn's Koliseum to Shao Kahn's Koliseum. Looks like some of the stages will have colliding timeline stuff going on.
Name one reveal trailer in the history of fighting games that was called "Character trailer A" but ends in random Character B murdering Character A instead of ending in Character A's finishing move/super/win poseThe fatality is the only thing both Cass and Jacqui had more in those trailers.
