Tech New Smoke 2-Bar "Guarenteed" Reset

New "guarenteed" reset combo for you. It does require 2 bars which is a bit scary but the payoff is worth it at times. After the NJP you must time the F4~Ex SB as early as possible so that it hits while your opponen is in the air and does not reset them. In order to do this combo consistently, you must time the 32 after the Smoke Ball so that it hits very early and on the very top of the attacks hit-box. Then, you must almost instantly (timing is somewhat leanient just do it as fast as possible) F4~Ex SB and your opponent will be reset. The glory of this is that the timing is the same regardless of if you are mid-screen or in the corner. If for some reason you miss that frame link window you are going to get 10% unscaled. Here it is:

Jip, 3D12, NJP, F4~Ex SB, 32, F4~Ex SB

Into whatever you'd like... 32,32,3D12, 214 or 3D12, 32, Jk~throw.

Here are the three scenario's:

mid-screen, reset lands: 46%+35%= 81%

corner, reset lands: 46%+39%= 85%

anywhere, 10% unscaled reset fail: 46%+10%= 56%

Just thought i'd share, it seems to be his most consistent two bar reset w/o having to double reset your opponent. The description is a bit wordy but it's the best i can do through text; i may get a video up in the future. If anyone is interested in recording this - as well as some other new tricks i have - with me online through PSN pm me, it would be much appreciated.

Getting ahold of this reset should be the holy Grail for Smoke strategy.

Yeah the 2 bars is a bit of a downer i must admit. But the percentage is justifiable. The gravity scaling is just perfect so that F4 is done instantly, thus removing the timing aspect of the usual reset that is "wait until he hits your hip"

It's nothing big just something handy to know. I have more real tech on the way

Haha it will take a bit if getting used to i'm sure just make sure the 32 after the SB is done as fast as possible.

Could a mod just merge this thread with the living smoke combo thread? (not in the op just as a post in general) i should have posted it there in the first place lol. Thanks a lot!

By all means continue using the standard resets, it's vastly superior to this one. This is just situational like say you have 2 bars, it's the final round and your opponent has no bars. Getting hit with 46-85% is hard as hell to come back on, as opposed to say a 41-51% life lead that can happen if you don't get the reset.

It's somewhat of a novelty but still handy to know. Just thought it was interesting is all.

i dont know how anyone could like her in terms of coolness. in terms of winning and her being amazing i get but if someone is like man sonya looks badass, id be like really? she looks like a crazy bitch and plays like one. jade i get is cool but sonya is just a bitch. if people love sonya besides for how good she is im sorry :( my character thinks he is super saiyan with his hair and yelling ammoh mah toza (similar to kamehameha lol) and when he shakes he thinks he is charging up, still costume 2 is badass and perosnally i love smokes costume 1. thats just IMO.

Lol I meant no offense, I was actually being sarcastic. I dont like all resets, I was poking fun of Faded Dreams for talking about it requiring two bars instead of one.
