Hey Everyone,

Welcome to the new TYM Podcast section. For the first time, almost all of our podcast/show content will be gathered in one place -- which should make it a lot easier to keep up with it all. For new broadcasters, please place any future archives of your shows in this section.

For those of you who are new to the community family, I encourage you to go back and listen to parts of some of the 'ancient history' podcasts. There are a lot of things from the most active period of Mortal Kombat 9 that are the basis for memes, community practices, and rivalries today. It should help give you some insight into the development of this community and its players.

GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR PODCASTS/SHOWS

It's easiest for community members to listen to archives in the following formats:
-Youtube
-MP3

If you have Twitch archives, you can use them for the video link -- but consider uploading to Youtube anyway if you have the time. A lot of mobile users do not have access to Twitch archives, and may or may not have time or space to download a 3-hour MP3; so Youtube is often a primary option for listeners on the go, followed by MP3.

Also, if your podcast is an hour or longer, please add discussion topic timestamps to your broadcast forum post. This will help your listeners find things they're looking for; and it also helps the TYM staff to more quickly evaluate the content of your recording if it's being considered for the front page.

PODCASTS/BROADCASTS AND THE TYM FRONT PAGE

-Not every podcast (or every episode of each podcast) will be front-paged. Just like any other kind of post, it's up to the TYM Staff to evaluate whether the material is appropriate for being featured under the TestYourMight name, and in keeping with the site rules. We'll try our best to help promote important/key broadcasts, but it's never a guarantee; we have to handle it on a priority basis.

-If we promote a podcast, a staff member will listen to it (or most of it) before promoting it. This is done in order to be fair to everyone, and to make sure we're familiar with the content we're helping to promote on our front page.

-Things to avoid: Extremely harsh racial/sexist content, threats, excessive bashing of TYM staff or the website, etc. Basically, use common sense. In general, we don't require every show to be PG; but if you want your show to be promoted, try to be mindful of the content you're putting out.

If you have any questions, feel free to hit me up and ask. Other than that, welcome to the Podcasts section, and enjoy!
