Tech Making Divekick 6 frames?

So, you can combo divekick off of an instant ji1. Ji1 is 6 frames, does this mean that you can turn divekick combos into 6f punishes? This is just a thought, don't blow me up if I'm wrong lmao.


I'm not sure it works that way, but I don't know injustices jump frames like I know SF4's. I'm not sure you can start it the exact same frame you jump, if you do that in other games itll cancel the prejump frames and leave you standing. I dont know if or how many Injustice has.

Not worth it as a punisher when there are better combos.

Not worth it as an overhead because there are better overheads that will not get you punished/require to spend meter preemptively.

Well, I guess there might be situations where you could use J1 to tack on damage to your standard punish combo, but as mentioned, it's slower than 1 and D1, and it has pretty short range. The fact that it's overhead doesn't matter if you're using it to punish.
